At the height of this outage 95,000 pg e customers were impacted. That number is now at 3,000. And there have been no reports of any major injuries. A cliff rescue in San Francisco. Chopper 5 was overhead half hour ago. A man was clinging at eagles point at lands end. Regularly g here. A helicopter came to rescue him. The rescuer tied a harness around him and then they airlifted him out. And dropped him at a nearby parking lot. We saw him Walking Around and he seemed okay. A busy morning in hayward where police say a person is in the hospital after being hit by gunfire. Apparently this was Police Gunfire and the person who was hit was inside a house on rockaway lane. We dont know if the person inside the house was hit accidentally or police intended to shoot. But we have asked for more information. Hayward police are not telling us any more right now because they say they are still investigating. And well keep on top of this story for you. Only on 5, all this trash in oakland was supposed to be cleaned up today. But city work crews tell us as much as they would like to clean it up, they cant. Da lin learned workers say its just too dangerous. Just a combination of trash, thats been accumulating for a long time. Reporter this is one of the many piles of trash near homes encampments in oakland. Some of the debris are scattered throughout the campsites and some are blocking sidewalks. Having the city truck here where i can just pick it up and throw it in the truck and were done with it. Reporter east oakland councilman noel gallo and a bunch of volunteers were planning to halt all the trash out on earth day. This saturday, with the help of public works. But late this week, the agency said they cant send their people and trucks out. Noel says the people feel unsafe without police presence. The direction of public works is citywide so no homeless encamp mens they are not to go near it. Reporter the Union Representing the workers confirms the employees raised safety concerns. They plan to release more information next week. Its up clear why public works wasnt able to line up officers for this weekends cleanup or other cleanups. But the Police Department has been understaffed for years. Though the police are still quick to respond to emergencies. A couple of Homeless People started a fire next to a tree at their east oakland campsite. Police and fire responded within minutes and knocked it down. One homeless man tells me the workers have nothing to fear. In fact, they will even help out. We will clean this whole park up for you. All we need is a dumpster here and in that parking lot. Councilman gallo says they are only picking up trash, not trying to clear out the homeless. Conservative group had given ucberkeley until 5 p. M. Today to change its mind about commentator ann coulter. Now the organizers say prepare for a lawsuit. The College Republicans want coulter to speak as originally planned next thursday night. Cal canceled that event over security concerns. The campus offered to hold the event on may 2. He said he got it and saw michaels name on the list. So i went oh, really . He was suspicious but texted the number his friend suggested and was told he would have to send 850 bucks to get his 70 grand government check. That was just the first of a multipronged attack. Next the phone rang. The caller with an accent claimed to be from facebook and said he could help michael avoid the 850 fee if michael would give him Remote Access to his computer. Another clear sign of a scam. Michael said no way. You lose the money. Well, then i guess im broke. They are just getting desperate. Reporter the bbb says most people know by now scammers are cloning facebook pages stealing peoples photos then targeting their Facebook Family and friends list. They say its forcing crooks to get creative hitting the targets from several angles. You should never pay money to receive money. Reporter you should also never give a stranger Remote Access to your computer which can cause big problems. Michael is grateful he didnt fall for it and hopes others wont, either. I think they are horrible reporter its one thing to avoid being scammed. Its another to prevent people from using your profile to scam other people. To help protect yourself, you can send your privacy set set your privacy setting to friends only to prevent strangers from cloning your profile and targeting your family and friends.
