They say it will take some time before they are able to figure out what happened. A new study shows that a tiny skin patch could prove key to treating peanut allergies. The consortium of Food Allergy Research got 74 peanut allergic volunteers to wear the patch every day over the course of the year. The tiny disk released peanut proteins into their skin. Researchers say that nearly half of the people who wore the patch could eat ten times more peanuts than the year before. But the patch isnt a total fix just yet. Ten times more peanuts for a lot of these patients is less than one peanut. So these are not kids who can go out and eat Peanut Butter and jelly sandwich. If i even eat one little bit of peanut and swallow it my throat closes up. The patch showed the best results for children 4 to 11. Trial is under way in the case of a richmond teacher accused of molesting 15 young boys. Ron guinto has pleaded not guilty to 90 molestation counts dating back more than a decade.
