Tenants gave up this picture of a rat trap taken inside the Bennett Valley townhomes. The tenants have been complaining about infestations for years and recent tests done by the city shows a dangerous level of mold in all of the buildings ten units. Other issues include leaky roofs and heating issues. Today was moving day. We were there as the nine families packed up their stuff and prepared to fight back but for now they dont have any options at all. So far we dont have any. Theres a lot of mold and i have my little sister. She has asthma. And got worse when we got here. So because of that and its like rats and its just not a good place a Good Condition to live in. Reporter lawyers for the tenants told them to stop paying rent hoping to force the landlords to fix the problem. Nothing changed though and now the attorneys are suing the propertys owners. New at noon, birds coated with a mysterious gunk are now turning up on both sides of San Francisco bay. Wildlife Emergency Services made the latest discovery in foster city. Other rescue workers are already at work along east bay shoreline trying to save hundreds of sea birds that have the goop in their feathers. Dozens of protesters are facing misdemeanor charges for shutting down the san mateo bridge last night. This is what it looked like during last nights commute. Protesters jumped out of the cars in the westbound lanes of bridges highrise and two of the lanes were closed for nearly two hours. Drivers going eastbound then took this video of the crowds blocking the lanes. You can you see them there. Some drivers took drastic action at the toll plaza and they were upset.
