Reporter they have been fighting the zone 7 Water District to get more protection and last week they won. The district approved an emergency fix to keep water from eroding neighbors backyards. Flood insurance doesnt cover this, homeowners doesnt cover it, if you goes through your house you lose everything. Reporter it will take two to four months to complete but david has his own fix in place. This has been such an odd year, and although the storms are not that large predicted, the last time i heard that was one of the major ones that did a lot of damage. Fix in the future. In the east ba. The zone 7 Water District also agreed to work with the community on a more permanent fix in the future. Officials in the east bay are trying to decide on a permanent fix for Morgan Territory road. It was damaged by a mudslide a month ago near clayton. Since then residents havent been able to get into their community. Yesterday the road was patched up to let residents drive through for a few hours. A public works official says the slide is moving a foot per day. Were worried even today monitoring it that it could massively move so were fully staffed out here today. Most of the residents feel like its they havent been working full force for us. So we need a consistent, open route. The only other way out of the community is to the south on a narrow onelane road. The county is still weighing alternative routes that would go true private property. A permanent fix could take up to six months. A lot to clean up after that mess. More storms coming.
