The story comes from Sports Illustrated. And they say that star linebacker ray lewis who tore his triceps in october began using performanceenhancing drugs to speed up his recovery not the first too i am that Sports Illustrated has longed lewis name to using performanceenhancing drugs and once again the future hall of famer denied any wrongdoing. Ray has work incredibly extremely hard to get back so i hate to see anything to diminish the work ethic he put in to get to where he is right now. My understanding is ray has passed every random, you know, substance test that he has taken, you know, throughout the course of his whole career. I have been in this business 17 years. And nobody has ever got up with me every morning and trained with me. Every test i have ever took in the nfl is theres never been a question if i ever even thought about using anything. Cbs 5 reporter don knapp shows us the officers are learning about how new orleans handles security at the superdome. Reporter when it comes to Violent Crime, the city of santa clara is low on the National List but then santa clara has never had to worry much about outofcontrol sports fans or at least wont until the new 49ers stadium is completed. With an eye to the future, santa clara has sent some of its cops to new orleans to learn about crowd control. New orleans has done this many times. Those guys are sharp. Thats why were sending people there, to learn from them. Reporter two officers, a sergeant and lieutenant, will be paid to go to the super bowl Training Session as well as a former police chief who will pay his own way. They will be learning from the best, says mayor mitch landrieu. Our Police Department has more experience than anyone in the nation in imagining large crowds. Depending on the culture or, you know, the rivalry it can get rowdy and so i think definitely getting down there and seeing the culture whats going on inside the crowd we are able to keep families safe and create a culture that, you know, families want to come out to. This after they found an ad on craigslist for four tickets. They wired the seller 5,900. After the story aired, ticketmaster offered the couple four free tickets and breakfast with troy aikman. Reporter Robert Martinez has lived in his ease every east oakland house on 65th avenue for 42 years. He says just recently his neighborhood has started to feel like a war zone. He hears gunshots every day, and innocent people like himself areking about the victims. This past friday, his home was sprayed with bullets. This happened in the morning in broad daylight. And yesterday, only a few houses down, an 8yearold girl was shot just before 2 30 in the afternoon. Police say this was a driveby shooting outside a family members home. She was hit in the leg and taken to the hospital. Its terrible. It is very terrible for having a little child shot like that over nothing. They dont care who they hurt. Reporter today nobody at the house would talk to us. There was a car in the driveway with a back window blown out. Police are linking much of the latest gun violence to rival gangs. Even officers have been targeted. One was shot in the leg friday while chasing a man at east 12th and fourth avenue. An undercover officer was also shot and injured on the 21st, sitting in a car on seminary avenue. The police chief addressed the shootings at a press conference today. I and my officers are committed to the children in this community and our neighborhood. We will catch the shooter and we are coming after you. Reporter but martinez feels theyre on their own. Reporter police have made no arrests in the shooting of that 8yearold and that little girl was still recovering at the hospital. Pittsburg police just named a suspect in the deadly shooting outside a gas station this morning. They say 22yearold Brian Keith Fox is armed and dangerous. The victim was shot in the head at a union 76 gas station on railroad avenue this morning. S. W. A. T. Teams found foxs car on marin avenue by water street. Police arrested these 3teenagers la new at 6 00 a breakthrough in the case involving a Violent Crime spree in san jose. Police arrested these three teenagers last week in connection with the Home Invasion robbery. Now, investigators say they forced their way into the Almaden Valley home armed with a knife last monday then bound an elderly couple with duct tape and ransacked the house. Police say they took electronics, credit cards, cash and two cars. The cars were recovered within 24 hours. Police tracked down the suspects and connected them to three other armed robberies this month. A Vallejo High School is defending its decision to fire a football coach who reported a series of hazing incidents. Saint patrickst. Vincent says varsity coach Chris Cerbone reported the hazing to the school before christmas break. The school wont go into specifics about what happened in the locker room, but it does say the hazings happened between varsity and Junior Varsity players during unsupervised practices last fall. After the school investigated, it expelled five varsity players and fired the coach. Doing your job and alerting, you know, your bosses as to whats going on is what youre supposed to do. But in the end, failure to supervise the students created an atmosphere that allowed that to happen so we made the decision to terminate the coach. Could the cases be made that the other assistant coaches also were not present and therefore why are they still there and hes gone . Well, its not a committee. The coach is in charge. I support what they did. Mr. Cerbone obviously didnt want this to happen. Its an unfortunate event that it happened. But he was in charge of the whole situation. The school also contacted Vallejo Police but investigators say no one involved has come forward to file a report. Rescuers are trying to piece together a mystery tonight. How did a coyote end up in San Francisco . This female coyote was found in a backyard in the Mission District last week. She is now undergoing treatment for dehydration, emaciation and respiratory infection. She may have hitched a ride in the engine compartment of the car and found herself in the city far from home.
