The 69yearold is a kentucky physician who said he needed to get home to treat patients. Officers say Cedric Anderson had accused karen smith of infidelity in their short marriage. Police havent confirmed those details. Jonathan martinez had williams syndrome. Its a rare disorder characterized by learning delays and heart problems. His teachers said jonathan was a happy child. The boy died at a hospital after being shot monday by the estranged husband of his teacher, karen smith, who was also killed. Officials said a 9yearold classmate who was also shot is stable and expected to recover. A candlelight vigil for the victims will be held tonight at the Elementary School. Catherine Police in santa rosa arrested a man they say ran away from a stolen car this morning. Police say 39yearold Andrew Chaffer ran from the car around 9 this morning. Officers spent much of the day looking in the steele lane neighborhood between highway 101 and mendocino avenue. Chaffer crawled through a very long culvert to attempt his escape. He drew attention to himself when he came out with no shirt, no shoes and was soaking wet. Officers say a good citizen called police to tell them where he was. Chaffer was finally taken into custody just before 2pm. catherine were learning new details about the officer involved shooting that happened over the weekend in fremont. Police say the suspect whos now been identified as 24yearold roger perez of orinda died after shooting himself in the head. It happened sunday night around 11 30. When an east Bay Regional Park District officer stopped a car near the 7eleven store on fremont boulevard. Police say perez ran from the car with a gun and went into an alley. Officer say he fired the gun at police and thats when they returned fire. Today the Alameda County coroner ruled his death a suicide. vicki there is one less reckless dirt bike rider of the streets of San Francisco. That is after the recent arrest of a man for allegedly riding his motorcycle in a dangerous manner on city streets.
