Some students say they didnt even know about this health scare . Ya lots of surpsised looks on students faces on campus here today when i let them know about the case of tb. We were told that letters were sent out today but students say they wish they were informed immediately on campus. Armijo High School Students were stunned to find out one person out of the 25 tuberculosis was found in one person at a fairfield high school. Letters were said to be sent out to students and faculty at Armijo High School today. But kron 4s Ella Sogomonian is there live and says each student she approached had no idea about the scare. Hundred people on their campus is being treated for tuberculosis. Jeremy tereul, armijo high junior i actually didnt know about the tuberculosis case until you told me about it. I have not heard about it yet. Each one heard of the health scare for the first time in an interview with kron 4 news. I dont know what to do about it i just hope everyone is safe and okay. Solano county along with the school teamed up to announce the news thursday in a press conference saying letters were sent out the same day. Medical Services DirectorMichael Stacey assures their team is experienced in handling tb cases. They will test upwards of 200 people that may have come into contact with the patient. As well as have screenings on campus at a later date. Michael stacey, Solano County medical Services Directora detailed approach as to who the patient may have come in contact with. County Health Officials wouldnt say if it was a student or faculty member who contracted the airborne virus. Nor was a name released in order to protect their privacy. One concerned parent says this is a crucial it is to vaccinate to prevent disease like tb from spreading. William matias, parent of armijo high student there is a responsibility for parents to have their children inoculated and get their shots and i think it would be the same for the teachers as well. A Construction Failure led to the evacuation of 16 buildings. A concrete boom and the platform it sits buckled yesterday when one of the hydrolic jacks below the platform failed. The San FranciscoBuilding Department has now issued a notice of violation requiring contractors to provide them with a repair plan,. Removing the concrete boom and then repairing the area where it was sitting could take until mid next week. In the meantime. Tehayma remains closed between first and second streets. Crews identified the three areas where erosion was causing a probelm. They say one area has been fully repaired, while the other parts are 25 percent and 69 percent fixed. Earleir this week nearly 200thousand people were allowed to return home after emergency evacuations were ordred downstream. Here in the bay area the arrival of wet weather means Anderson Reservoir near morgan hill could reach capacity this weekend. For the first time in a decade, water is expected to start flowing over the reservoirs spillway. As kron 4s Charles Clifford explains. That could lead to flooding downstream. Standupright now im standing at the bottom of anderson dam here in Santa Clara County and behind me is the main outlet for the Anderson Reservoir and right now the Santa Clara ValleyWater District has it wide open sending 416 cubic feet of water per second into coyote creek. Natsthe district is hoping to drain as much water as possible out of the reservoir before the next big round of storms arrives. As of thursday afternoon, the lake is sitting at about 99. 2 percent of full capacity and climbing. The district believes that with the incoming moisture the reservoir will probably hit 100 percent this weekend. When that happens, water will start flowing over andersons one and only spill way. The added flow into coyote creek will most likely result in flooding. The Water District expects low lying areas downstream to see high water. Whether flood waters reach any of the thousands of homes and businesses below the dam will depend on how big the incoming storms are. Jeremy kastle and his wife live just below the dam. Police arrest a gunman suspected of fatally shooting a man in San Francisco officers have arrested say 37yearold dontae allen of oakland. In connection with the shooting death of 34yearold preston bradford. Bradford was found shot in a car near van ness avenue and eddy street around 2 yesterday morning. He was shot in the head. And was pronounced dead at the hospital. Allen is currently being held without bail on suspicion of murder. A suspect in a stolen van plowed through a fence and went straight into a creek. Thats after a Police Pursuit from pleasanton to dublin early this morning. Officers started the pursuit at around 3 oclock this morning. And chased the suspect through san ramon and dublin. When the suspect drove onto a dead end street, he used the ford van to hit a patrol car twice. In a effort to escape. He then went through a fence, over an embankment and into alamo creek. The commute from santa cruz to san jose over highway 17 was a bit lighter today. But a section of the north bound lanes are still closed. Caltrans says, there is now a geologist on site to assess when it is too dangerous to work. And when crews can resume. There is still no estimate to when all lanes will be open.
