A historic tree in oakland, over 100 years old and over 100 feet tall, wind gusts so strong that it tore the tree out of the ground, leaving a massive crater. I heard a crack and things starting falling. I thought it was a earthquake. Reporter in walnut creek, another tree came crashing down on to a house and smashed a pickup truck in the driveway. In napa county, a fire burning off the silverado trail north of the city of napa, 300 acres have burned since it started last night. This fire is 70 contain. The fire crews are working to protect homes in that area. New developments tonight in the case of the alleged racial hazing that went on at san jose state university. Three white male students are charged with harassing their black roommate, reportedly using racial slurs against him, trapping him in a closet, locking a bike chain around his neck and more. They have all been suspended. Tonight, a fourth student could also be facing punishment in connection with this case. Charles clifford report snooze so far three white male teenage students from san jose state are facing misdemeanor hate crime and battery charges for allegedly hazing their 17year old black roommate. Two of the students have already surrendered to authorities and the third will self surrender soon. Those students were also suspended from the university on thursday. And friday, officials announced a fourth student has also been suspended. But the District Attorney aaron west says no additional charges have been filed. I can tell you there hans been a fourth suspect charged. Reporter a friend of the victim told cnn that the local and National Attention this case has attracted is putting a heavy burden on the freshman. I hope the thing ends sooner than later and he can go back to doing his normal thing because its putting a lot of pressure on him. I dont think thats good for anybody. Reporter finally there have been calls from groups such as the naacp for the government to open an investigation into the case. The District Attorneys office said they have received a call from the fbi but declined to say what was discussed during the call or whether or not a federal investigation was forth coming. People in San Francisco learned of the tragic assassination of president kennedy even before noon today so that they have had one half of a whole working day to contemplate this tragedy. We saw, you know, once again, a lot of dehydration, malnutrition. Did a lot of critical stress debriefing. Lots of trauma cases. Just chaos. Reporter the two were prepared to handle the medical needs of the people whose lives were in shambles, but the scope of the destruction was a shock to both nurses. The nurses say the biggest problem in the philippines right now is the lack of shelter and the recurring illnesses because they have no homes. We went to the clinics and treated them. At the end of the day, they go back to their makeshift tents and they will be exposed to the elements. Reporter the nurses were helping people out right up until the day they left. We encountered a motorcycle accident right in front of us. And five of us nurses just did what were trained to do. And we responded. And we brought them back to the city which is an hour away. Still pretty windy as we move into the overnight hours, it remains fairly gusty up at santa rosa and fairfield. You can see the blue on the screen. Wind busts in the teens and 20s. That will prevent temperatures from dropping down overnight in those locations. Calmer winds to the south mean it will be chilly there. The rest of the morning, the winds start to kickback a little bit and we will see calmer conditions into the afternoon. Temperatures right now actually really warm. And demonstrating exactly what im talking about, the winds do not allow temperatures to fall off. So 65 in santa rosa right now, 65 also in napa. 53 out in fairfield. 59 in nevado. With the winds in place, it will stay warmer than it would overnight. If we didnt have wind in place, we would be seeing temperatures in the low 30s. But the winds will keep temperatures in the 40s, even upper 40s. If they do die down perchance, we will see the temperatures much colder than this. I just dont think it will happen. Places like livermore and pleasanton, a different story. It will be in the 30s there. The afternoon bringing us mid to upper 60s for most locations. The cove line though in the low 60s.
