He was an employee of the parks and recreation and, there was a slope, id decline, and we didnt know at the time but he either didnt see or didnt know the woman was there. He ran over her and that woman was lying in the grass. She had a child and a dog with her. The driver did not stop. We dont know if he fled the scene where he didnt know he hit the woman, but police have since caught the driver. Neighbors all around the park are in shock. It has never happened here. After police concluthe investigation the Fire Department was here and they continue to spray away whatever degree was left following an accident. Tonight just before sunset, neighbors were out here laying flowers at the grass for the woman who was struck and killed. More on this story as it develops in San Francisco. How are these people being punished . These are the questions i had so we are doing some digging, acquiring paperwork that listed every person that was arrested a 40 niners game in 2012. What i found was, lets say a bit unsettling. That they prosecuted just 5 of those cases. That means that 95 of the time those in trouble got kicked out of the stadium and a property but nothing more. Number showed that more than half of all arrests had to do with fans being drunk in public. The District Attorneys Office says oftentimes those folks are put in the van and left is so up and then let go. The District Attorney makes the final call in these cases but he makes that decision based on what he is given. And only 5 of arrests were prosecuted a year. Its very possible that they were prosecuted in other cities but not one out of 10 people were being prosecuted. And, to make a long story short, in my case i called a week later to find out what had happened to the suspects only to learn that the charges have been dropped. The das office has since stepped and so it brought the issue out there and brought it front and center. We will see what happens with the season coming up. It happened in the San Francisco brno heights, and thats more on our top story. Live here in holly park and bernal heights, it was about 2 30 this afternoon when a driver ran over one here in the park with her child. We dont know if the driver fled the scene out of malice or fear, but all we know is he didnt stop. Hes been detained and arrested and charges are pending this hour for leaving the scene of an accident. The woman was taken to San FranciscoGeneral Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
