You can see a man in a white shirt walking casually up to the door. The owner wasnt back. He says the date and time on the Surveillance System was incorrect. This was actually last night about 7 30. I was in the back straightening up clothes and, you know, doing my normal chores at the end, close to the end of the closing day. Reporter he wasnt at the front counter. The video shows the man jogging up, grabbing a laptop, then, just like that, hes gone. I looked up and saw someone dashing out of the door. When someone bolts out the door that fast, its not because their pizza is burning in an oven somewhere. Its, you know, they are stealing something. Reporter he gets out the door. Thats when you can see it appears he is not alone. Another man, who was also walking up, watches the first man, then runs off with him. Seconds later, you see the owner of the store racing out the door, trying to get his laptop back. After he made a lot of noise in leaving the business i rushed out and they bolted straight across into a getaway car that they had parked, waiting at the corner over there, on the freeway ramp to go right onto 580 westbound. Reporter he says they got into a newer model gold cadillac. It all took just about 9 seconds from the first time we see the suspect to when its all over. The owner is still hoping the two are caught, hoping to get that laptop back. Thankfully for the good old video camera here that we have. Hopefully it will shake some, you know, leaves out of the tree and so we can get these guys and report them so that because these little crimes like this just turn into bigger crimes. Reporter oakland police, well aware of the robbery problem out here and across the city. There is a break in a case of a young girl gunned down while sleeping in oakland. Police released this sketch of the man who killed 8yearold angel carrigan. The man is described as being 17 to 24 years old, African American, weighing 160 pounds. Someone rang the doorbell a a home on wilson street. The gunman fired 10 shots, killing the girl and injuring two others. We want to find this person and remove them from our streets. This is a dangerous person. If they shoot children, what else would they do in our community . There is a 35,000 reward being offered in this case. Happening today, contract talks in the bart labor dispute are set to resume at 10 00 this morning. The two sides are still far apart, with the new strike deadline now just one month away. Union leaders are now accusing management of fighting safety citations instead of fixing safety problems. The unions deny they are raising safety issues as a ploy to deflect attention from their pay and benefit demands. So we take it seriously, because we have lost lives. The public does not have to suffer that loss. So its easy sometimes for the public to say this is just a smoke screen. Now, a bart spokeswoman says management has addressed all of the safety issues brought up in these negotiations. Caltrain running normal this morning, but thats after two people were killed on the tracks on the same day. The first incident happened just before 2 00 yesterday afternoon, near brigatta road, north of the san carlos border in belmont. The second person was killed just before 9 00 last night at the South San Francisco station avenue. The train in South San Francisco was empty when the person was hit. About 120 people were on the first train in belmont. No passengers were hurt. Service was slowed for several hours, while both scenes were investigated. Now, to a story only on 2. Many drivers say the new tunnel lights on the bay bridge may be creating a nighttime safety hazard. Cal trans replaced the old fluorescent bulbs on the tunnel with hundreds of new led lights. Many drivers say those lights blind them when they drive through the tunnel at night. Ktvu news spoke to the electrical coordinator of the new bay bridge. He admits theres a problem. We are working on the connections and adjustments for that to kind of find the right number of circuits that need to be on at night. Chp says the bright tunnel lights have not caused any accidents since the new bridge opened nine days ago. But cal trans still plans to dim the lights within the next few weeks. And today, the California State Senate is expected to give final approval to rename the western half of the bay bridge, after former San Francisco mayor and Assembly Speaker willie brown. Governor brown has already come out against the proposal, but doesnt have the authority to veto the nonbinding resolution. An activist plans to file a lawsuit, claiming lawmakers can only name state roadways after the deceased. Prosecutors say an east bay mcdonalds manager masterminded an inside job, robbing his own restaurant. It happened at the mcdonalds at santa rita road and 580 in pleasanton back on august 28th. Investigators say Felix Gonzalez wore a mask, climbed through the drivethrough window and demanded money from the safe. He ordered workers into the freezer before making his getaway. Five days later he allegedly targeted another mcdonalds in san mateo. He put the girls in the freezer in the back, then took the manager that was working and took him to the safe. After that robbery, an officer spotted the suspects vehicle on the san mateo bridge. Police say they found stolen cash, a fake gun, and mask. Gonzalez has reportedly confessed to both robberies and is in jail. An invasion of wild pigs in the east bay, pigs going wild in a residential neighborhood. We know now the identity of the woman seen on video, accused of abusing three pitbulls earlier this week in san jose. 39yearold Rihanna Reece was arrested tuesday in a homeless encampment. Officers say shes a transient wanted for possession of stolen property in monterey county. Her dogs are being examined for signs of neglect. Crews battling a deadly wildfire in Shasta County say they hope to have it fully contained by this sunday. The clover fire has burned 80 buildings, including 30 homes near the Rural Community of happy valley. One death is being blamed on the fire. Firefighters say they found the burned body of 56yearold Brian Stanley henry after he refused to evacuate. The fire is 50 contained. Firefighters are also gaining an upper hand on a wildfire on mount diablo. They hope to have it fully contained by tomorrow. The fire is currently 80 contained. Evacuation orders have been lifted, along with road closures. Several small outbuildings burned, but luckily, no homes were destroyed. Mostly contained. [ indiscernible ] two engines, water tender. Emergency Radio Communications are revealing just how quickly the fire on mount diablo changed from a manageable grass fire to an out hes ofcontrol wildfire. A guest at the Extended Stay Hotel found 27yearold Javier Gonzalez guerrero passed out in a stairwell in october 2011. He was dressed for a Halloween Party with a toy gun in his waist band. The settlement is the largest ever paid in a city for a miss involving misconduct. The city of richmonds plan to seize underwater mortgages through Eminent Domain heads to federal court today. A new september 11th memorial was unveiled in napa, featuring steel beams from the world trade center. Hundreds of people showed up for the dedication of the 9 11 memorial garden.
