A resident of a home on westfield lane called 911 before 6 am this morning to report someone in the same house was acting crazy and causing a disturbance. When Police Arrived at the scene officers say they found the man hiding under a bed holding what they described as a large knife. Police say they made a heated attempts to get the man to drop the knife including less lethal force but they say he was not listening. The suspect advanced towards officers and one of them shot the man killing him. His identity has not been released. The officers were wearing body cameras and police say there is video of what happened. The Sonoma County Sheriffs Department is overseeing the investigation. The officer involved has been placed on paid administrative leave. Amman instrument county arrested last night in the brutal beating death of his wife. 72yearold Stephen Rothschild called 911 last night saying he has his wife had been fighting and she was dead. Meanwhile 42yearold Wyndham Latham surrendered to the marshals last night and is being held without by the Alameda County sheriffs office. He is scheduled to be arraigned monday morning.
