Last night there was concern that heavy equipment on top of that building could fall. We spoke to one of the developers about march plans for the day. She is live in the area with what she learned. Reporter yes. Building we are talking about we can see it from mission street. Its in the south of market neighborhood. Condo highrise under construction. The general contractor in charge of the construction flew out a team of engineers last night to help them figure out how to stabilize some of that equipment they are concerned about after concerns that some of that equipment on the top floor could fall to the ground below. A representative for one of the developers of this project explained this morning what exactly happened here yesterday. The part of the building is called a concrete form. Its a frame that wraps around the building. The form is used to build each floor of a highrise. Concrete is put around it and then the form is lifted and uses again to build the next floor. It takes eight jacks to lift that form. Yesterday one of the jacks failed. The form tilted. You can see how slanted it looks on the right of this picture. Because the form is connected to Big Equipment including this boom the concern was that the equipment could come down if the form tilted to much. Thats why the San FranciscoFire Department evacuated several buildings in the area and closed off city streets as a precaution. And we will show you a live picture of the building from a rooftop camera. Several hours after the evacuation the equipment now this morning has been stabilized. The fear of anything falling has passed and most of the evacuations lifted. The only Office Building people still have limited access too is the one nearby. It that building has an entrance at 543 howard street. Crews right now are working on dismantling that construction boom. That center piece in the middle of the picture we showed you. They are dismantling it. Taking apart. That was the piece they were worried about possibly falling over. For now traffic is still down to one lane in both directions of 17. Only in the southbound lane. Cal trans crews are working to protect highway 37 from more flooding. They are biling a steel and concrete barrier to keep water from going across 37. This fix wont completely stop the flooding but its designed to lessen the severity. The man who bought two rifles used in the terror attack 234 california plead guilty this morning to federal terrorism charges. The 25yearold pleaded guilty to providing Material Support to terrorists. Prosecutors say that he admits to buying the high powered rifles used in the attack that was carried out by his neighbors. Both died in a gun fight with police. There is no evidence that he knew about the planned attack that left 14 people dead and 22 injured. He could be sentenced to 25 years in prison. Police have arrested the man who they say they believe shot and wounded a passenger on a San Francisco train last week. The suspect the is a 29year old anthony ray. Police say that the shooting happened after a fight broke out on the train and one man was found with a gun shot wound to the head. The victim is recoving at a hospital.
