What we heard today was really the Justice Department trying to have it both ways, at least both ways and its saying that on the one hand this is only going to impact three Justice Department grants per jurisdiction on the other hand saying we dont not know. These are contradict statements not only in a court of law but just in terms of continuing to confuse the public in our county and our state and across the United States of america as to what their intentions actually here. While that survey shed some light into the numbers lawsuits are more of a gray area. In most Sexual Harassment cases they settle with confidentiality clauses. Board member Ariana Huffington said Going Forward there can be no room at uber for brilliant jerks and zero tolerance in an equitable work place environment. The company also released its work place report. If you go to any tech conference, we get excited when theres a line to go to the bathroom for women because theres never a line. There might be people saying well women dont get into engineering in the first place. It seems like they Pay Attention to maybe hispanic kids. Ive talked to the principal where they referred me to the black Student Union guy who is i guess here for any African American student that might be having issues. The students here say theyre upset. Theyre having mexican band there and the black kids dont feel comfortable with that. They want something for them too. Im for all children. Dont get me wrong. I just feel like maybe the small percentage of the African American kids there are getting left behind. They just want the administration to treat everyone fairly. One student says shes caught in the middle being by racial. We cant make things better if if were just going to keep going back and forth. Were the two races that are having the bigger problem. Ktvu has learned the investigation stems from a complaint made against the school alleging the district fails to respond to harassment of students and staff being called the nword. A man accused of sexually assaulting a Santa Clara University student back in february is now in jail. Santa clara Police Arrested 20yearold branden forby in santa clara on charges to commit rape and attempted kidnapping. Just two blocks from campus. Investigators say they were able to link newman forby to the assault but would not give details on how. Two teenagers robbed a woman on an muni bus. Police say when the woman got off the bus a group of about 10 teenagers punched her, took her phone and wallet and ran off. Anyone with information is asked to call San Francisco police. Also in San Francisco a North Carolina woman is now pleading for the publics help after her husbands ashes were stolen from her rental car. Police say they have arrested a 17yearold from pacifica and some of the instruments have been returned to the school.
