How much rain i expect we will get. Developing news in the search for a missing passenger jet carrying 239 people. Just a few hours ago searchers spotted two large oil slicks off the southern tip of vietnam. The Airlines Flight was headed touching a. Air Traffic Controllers lost track of it not long after it took off. Air force planes found the oil slicks which are six to mine miles long. They say the slicks are consistent with the kinds that would be left by fuel from a crashed jet liner. In china Family Members were devastated as they went to the airport looking for answers. It is still not clear what happened. Officials say the weather was clear when the plane dropped from radar screens. Last week cnn did a story with the airline and on the co pilot in that story. Oakland police are investigating a report of a Sexual Assault at an elementary school. We are live in the city of oakland to tell us why some parents are angry at the school response. Reporter police are still searching for that man who reportedly inappropriately touched a 7yearold girl here at the world and achieve academy. We were on the scene yesterday afternoon. Parents though had to wait outside while the campus was locked down and police investigated and the search for the alleged attacker. Police say that two girls, aged 7 and 8 attending an after School Program said they saw a strange man on campus at about 3 45 yesterday afternoon. The girls said that the man touched at least one of them inappropriately. The girls returned to their class and told a teacher and that prompted a lockdown and a police investigation. Now parents say that they were very concerned because the school wasnt releasing information. We deserve a call. Because like me im thinking the worst. You know my two little ones, im thinking something happened to them. Its their responsibility to give us parent parents a call. Reporter the girls were taken to the hospital to be checked out and interviewed. Police say they are look for a white or latino man about 6 feet tall between 180 to 200 pounds. He had black hair and a mustache and had a black shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes. Of Course Police are asking anyone with information about this case to get in contact with them. We are live in oakland. Ktvu channel 2news. There has been approach in a 25yearold homicide case in san jose a 38yearold kathy zimmer a mother of two disappeared in march of 1989. Her body was found in her car at san jose airport. Police say she was strangled. Last month the case was reopened and photographs of the quilt her body was wrapped in were released. Investigators say that tested dna from the clothing led to the arrest of her husband. 66yearold david zimmer and his 69yearold Brother Robert zimmer. They say david zimmer got more than 400,000 after his wife died. The money came from the sale of their home and a Life Insurance pay out. People who drive ford trucks and vans in sonoma are told to watch for thieves. Police have received 13 reports of ford vehicle that have been stolen or broken into. The victims of federal lawsuits are claiming they were mistreated or ignored when they reported Sexual Violence. The uc president said this they also offer broader protection for victims. The students say they are still not satisfied. I have a big stake in making sure that the university handles this correctly. Its not acceptable that people have to go through such a process. Its often worse than the assault. The new changes came the same day as the deadline to comply with new laws aimed at more accurate reports of stats for serious crimes in and around campus. Supporters of a bill cracking down on Cyber Bullying say they believe itll get the two thirds vote necessary in the state legislature to be law next january. Audreys law is named after a 15yearold audrey pott the couldnt who committed suicide in september after pictures came up of her drunk and passed out. Three classmates were sentenced fora soughting her assaulting her and taking the photographs. Her mother said that current laws provide to much protection for sex offenders. There was no public conviction, no element of acknowledgement or deterr aps and no remorse or apology. Audreys law would let juveniles who assault victim who are drunk and passed out to be tried as adults. That would make it possible for them to face stiffer sentences. The bill also makes Cyber Bullying a crime and a felony in some cases. Officials have given the green light to the new computer based testing system. The new tests will be given to three million this spring in grades k through 12. They area shrined with the new standards in classrooms. The socalled smarter balance tests will replace what is known as a star test. The new tests designed to be taken on computers rather than with pencils and papers. Lets turn to rosemary. You can see a few spring manies here into areas right around lake county, perhaps the Northern Edge of sonoma. This area has a slight pocket of picking up a few sprinkles on sunday. The rest of us will be mainly dry, you can see from the forecast model it doesnt look like the north bay will pick up a lot. Into eight on sunday we have that rain line now, as we get in to the overnight hours it slides through, by monday morning we are drying out. It looks like this system will tim late in the evening between sunday night and monday morning. As far as rainfall as we get in to the overnight hours it starts to accumulate.
