The person is in Critical Condition this morning after crashing into a concord drive in. Witnesses say the car flew off highway 4 and ended up knocking down a traffic pole and some fencing. The car landed near the west wind drive in. No one else was hurt in the accident. More information is coming out on a head on crash. An suv slammed into a sedan on willow pass road late friday night. Friends of the victims have placed flowers, balloons and notes of condolences. The coroner is holding off on releasing the names, but friends posting online say the mom organized as a hairstylist and her daughter was 2 years old. The city says the project will improve communication between dispatchers and Police Officers. An investigation is underway in Sonoma County after a house fire caused an explosion in a garage. That explosion ruptured a gas line. This happened yesterday afternoon around 4 00 on west school road near maple avenue. Firefighters say the fire started in the garage. The homeowners tried to put out the flames with a garden hose, but they werent fast enough. The fire caused the type of oxygen tank use for welding to explode, which then broke the gas line. It started thursday morning in eastern arizonas white mountains. So far it has burned nearly 8 square miles. Firefighters say there is still no containment, but at least the fire hasnt grown. The fire is threatening 90 homes and other buildings and some homes in the area have been evacuated as a precaution. Firefighters say they believe the fire was man made but they are still investigating exactly how it started. The fire comes nearly a year after a wildfire in Central Arizona killed 19 firefighters. Thousands of items left at a memorial in honor of the firefighters will not be preserved. Some include condolence letter, photos and firefighter helmets. A group of volunteers took the items left behind and put them on display. People came from as far away as california and new mexico to help, organizers say. So, they are lined up and spectators are already trying to stake out a good spot to line the parade. This years theme for the parade is color our world with pride. Crews are hard at work. They are prepared with the floats, staging them on the side streets off market, getting ready to return them in the parade. This year there are 23 floats. Organizers have said in the past there have been as many as 18,000 people marching in the parade. The San Francisco lesbian bands leader tells me they were the first to provide the kickoff music years ago. Years ago the parade didnt have any music. A new report says San Francisco can learn how to lower the citys rate of homelessness by looking at Salt Lake City. San francisco and Salt Lake City launched campaigns to end chronic homelessness about 10 years ago. Salt lake citys homeless rates since then have dropped drastically, while San Franciscos has not. Salt lake city had housing people want to live in, as well as counseling. But homeless rates are much higher in the bay area. A shooting sent one man to the hospital at the intersection of market and mason streets last night. The man was laying on the ground, police say, and appeared to be shot multiple times. If you have any information about the case, call the San Francisco police department. A youth outreach counselors was shot and killed while playing dodge ball with the children. The shooting happened at 2 00 in the afternoon at the hertz playground in visitation valley. The victims name was alan callaway. They say about 45 children were taking part in several different summer programs when callaway was shot at close range. According to an acting board member, callaway had worked at the nonprofit for the past two years. He had turned his life around. He was good with all the kids loved to smile, laugh and all that.
