Reporter San Jose Police are not telling us money about the man. He was walking to the 711 around 2 00 this morning when he was shot. Now, heres the scene behind us. San jose Police Patrol cars are conducting their investigation. And the building to our left is the 711. Now a short time ago we were parked on the other side ofden view, and you could see more of whats going on. Police have moved us over here. Theres about a dozen San Jose Police officers and detectives and gathering evidence at the scene here. They have been here since the Early Morning hours. This happened just before 2 00 a. M. Police dont know the motive or the circumstances surrounding this shooting. I spoke briefly to the owner and he said his clerk didnt hear any shouting o or fighting. There was nothing out of the ordinary. The clerk heard gunshots and ran into the back of the store and called 911. There was four or five customers inside the 711 when the shooting happened. A single gunman is responsible and police are still looking for him. This is sun hoseas 23rd 23rd homicide this year according to police. Edan view is closed to traffic while the investigation is being conducted. Police and investigators are expecting to be out here for the next several hours. It happened last night around 10 40. 15yearold girl was with her brother on foothill boulevard, the boy told police he heard another gunshot and thats when his sister yelled ive been shot. She was hit in the neck but was alert when paramedics took her to the hospital. Its unclear who the intended target was. Surveillance video will likely play key roles in two separate mini crashes that injured 40 passengers. Both within 7 minutes apart. A t line train collided with a big rig. Surveillance video from an auto shop captured the crash at the top of your screen. Police believe the 18 wheeler made an illegal left turn into the path of the light rail train, knocking it off the track. It was just like an earthquake, you know. In the 38 bus crash, the driver tried to avoid hitting one dump truck and rammed another dump truck instead.
