Wow, can even seen mount diablo. As a whole our pattern not going to change very much. We have that ridge of High Pressure that will remain locked in control for our bay area weekend. We do have small change that will appear into the afternoon. The on shore breeze is coming back. Its going to be a weak one. That means the inland communities not going to get a break but along the coast and just inside the bay i think we will begin to feel a minor break for the afternoon. Right now a cool start in areas like napa, nevado checking in at 48 degrees. That helps us as we slip into the cooler temperatures in the overnight hours. San Francisco Police trying to figure out if a taxi driver was involved in a hit or run or if he didnt realize he struck a man crossing the street. Allie is live at the accident scene with one witnesss point of view. Reporter mike it happened at bay and buchanan. Most of the time its a pretty busy street. Especially at the late on a friday night. You can see the crosswalk here is not very well marked and there is no stopsigns. This is where at 10 00 a man walking across the street with some friends was struck by a taxi cab. The impact shattered the wind shield of that cab. We spoke to a woman driving directly behind that taxi. She saw the crash happen and described what she saw. I saw three people walking just getting almost to the to the sidewalk. The taxi was going super fast, for this street. The left guy couldnt make it. Reporter witnesses say that right after that the cab driver just kept going he didnt stop. The woman said after watching this crash she followed that cab a few blocks away and finally got him to stop and return to the scene. Other witnesses were also shouting at the cab driver to come back because he hit someone. The driver eventually came back. Police are still trying to determine if it was a hit and run or if the cab driver didnt realize that he hit someone. We dont know the condition of the victim this morning though he was conscious and breathing with the ambulance took him to the hospital. Fin who may have seen this accident should give police a call to help with the investigation. An investigation is underway into an Early Morning homicide. Around one Police Responded to a report of a person down. They found a man who had been so. He was pronounced dead at the scene the area was shut down for a few hours. In san jose firefighters were busy battling two separate oaf night fires. They sent us this video. The first happened after 11 00 last night. Crews responded to the call at the center Foods Grocery store on center road. It took them more than an hour to get the fire under control. There were no injuries but the store had significant smoke and water damage. Crews responded as flames raised through a townhouse. The first call came after ten. It was midnight before crews got that fire under control. Five people need to find a new place to live. Officials say it appearance the fire Start Fire Department a car inside the garage and then spread to the home. Los Angeles Police are trying to figure out how many people died in a three vehicle crash. Investigators say one car was burned so badly they still cant determine its make or model. For now officers are saying multiple live was lost in that crash last night in the city of chino. They searched a field for any victims who may have been ejected from the car. Police in East Palo Alto are investigating a deadly shooting. It happened just abouta oclock. They say that the victim is a 20yearold mark madden. Two great white shark attacks in just two days have prompted beach closures in Santa Barbara. The first incident happened thursday night a surfer was attacked a quarter mile north of the beach. The attack prompted commanders at the air force base to close three beaches in the area. They say the shark was about eight to ten feet long the surfer had minor injuries to his knees and cuts the beaches are expected to reopen at four. Two fishermen came to the rescue of a group of people after their kayaks were attacked by a great white shark. Those are holes from a shark. Wees attacking. A broken water main is being blamed for flooding about a dozen homes in the citys Bayview District a 60yearold pipe broke early yesterday morning on key avenue and keith street. Water gushed on to the streets for hours flooding basements and garages. The San FranciscoPublic Utilities commission estimates two million gallons of water escaped. The effort now underway to change that. The governor has signed a bill that could help the 911 system a federal law requires all carriers to is the phones to be able to text 911. If you do it in california you get a message back saying texting options are not available. The Senate Bill Requires the Governors Office of Emergency Services to develop a plan for putting in the statewide next generation 911 system. People say it could be helpful. In a lot of situations i feel like you cant really call, physically call. Like especially if there is a Home Invasion or manage like that you may as well text so that person doesnt hear you. Dispatchers say its important to remember though that calling 911 can be important because they listen and get information from background noises, they are also trained to help frantic callers.
