It will be most pronounced for our inland cities because what some dont know is areas like antioch hit 88 yesterday. Oakdale was 93. So our inland communities definitely had a big warmup yesterday. The temperatures coming down by 5 and 10 degrees for the afternoon. Were going to continue with our cool pattern into the afternoon. We have a system sitting off shore. That is bringing on the changes. Right now fairfield reporting 23 mileperhour winds with a gust to 26. This is going to continue as we get into the second half of the day. Temperatures now 53 degrees in walnut creek. 51 San Francisco. Low 50s in and around santa rosa, novato, napa, all 50 degrees. Along the south bay, 57 san jose and the peninsula at this hour 55 redwood city, 53sfo and to the coast where we have 52 for halfmoon bay. For the second half of the morning the low clouds are going to go begin to clear at least to the coastline. But i think well have the high and midlevel clouds that continue to push through the entire day. Today will be a partly cloudy and partly sunny day. Notice upper 50s along the coast. Jadiada larcenyon was reported missing and her body found burning in a field in glenn county. Deputies arrested 21yearold juan rivera, the boyfriend of the little girls mother. He told police he saw her at their apartment early thursday and suffered a seizure and passed out. Deputies say the mother is cooperating with the investigation. This mother is not being looked at as a suspect in this case. The mother has had a legitimate reason for not being around. Investigators later said the mother was away from medical treatment for several days when the girl disappeared. Rivera is scheduled to appear in court tuesday. Being held without bail. The owner of the fishing boat that ran aground near Half Moon Bay is working to get it removed. The boat named denise ran on the rocks late friday night. The captain said he didnt need assistance and didnt leave the boat. However, because its in the National Marine sanctuary the coast guard had it arranged to be transferred to land. Theres no reports of fuel spilled into the water. The bottle rock festival continues in the napa valley today and today organizers expecting to see their biggest crowd. Its a National Nonprofit organization and within of their biggest events is something called pet adoption days. The fund gives Financial Support and grants to Animal Shelters across the country. This weekend, saturday and sunday the organization is covering the cost of pet adoption for the entire weekend. At participating shelters like Oakland Animal Services. The way it works, people come in, they look for a pet that they fall in love with, dog, cat, rabbit, sometimes even birds. They go through the mandatory screening and are than able to take that pet home for free. Usually its not free. Usually you have to pay for the surgery and the adoptions. So this is a great opportunity if you have been wanting to find a new friend for your family, to come down and help us get all these animals out into good homes. Reporter the pet adoption days weekend started yesterday. The event continues today. You can adopt a dog, cat, rabbit. Also some birds at some participating shelters. Some of them are in almeida, contra costa, San Francisco and santa clara counties. Yesterday more than 2,300 pets in the bay area found a permanent home thanks to the program.
