They confronted a man standing in the street who was armed with a shot gun. The officers gave multiple commands to disarm but he failed to comply and gun fire erupted and the person that was armed was fatally wounded. During the incident one South San FranciscoPolice Officer sustained a minor injury as a result of the gun fire that was exchanged much the exchange, the investigation is being conducted by the San FranciscoDistrict Attorneys Office.
