The city of Burlingame Police department called in mutual aid from surrounding agencies to make sure the event is safe for convention goers and for protesters. Police on scene here saying they are expecting anywhere from 500 to 3000 protesters. Their plan is flexible. They are considering shutting down old bay highway where the hyatt is located if they need to. We have contingency plans in place if traffic is shut down due to high level protesters and demonstrators going rogue and decide to block traffic.
