The shooting happened at humboldt near 35th and foothills boulevard around 8 00. The victims were not all in the same place. Two were shot outside of an apartment complex. A third was struck by a bullet that went into a home and the fourth was inside a parked car at the time. Police arent saying if the victims knew one another and there is no word on their conditions this morning. One man heard what he thought were fireworks but realized it was gunfire. Police have not made any arrests just yet. We are learning more about a hit and run crash in concord that killed two children and left the mother and threemonth old brother with major injuries. A person of interest in the case was taken into custody after showing up at a hospital yesterday. The crash happened before 11 00 friday night off highway 4 in concord. The mom and her three kids were traveling in a dodge durango. Chp says they drove on the on ramp, a sedan cut across the road and drove into the side of their car. The two boys were 5 and 10 that died. Yesterday we talked to the father of one of the boys who said he lost his only son in the crash. I just feel like my world, its over because i work hard in life for him and its not for me. Because if its me, i could careless. Its for him. Everything i work for. Now what am i working for. Investigators say he was seen running from the scene across highway 4. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. We are hearing from wilsons family. His wife told us their thoughts and prayers are with the victims of the crash. Me and my husband send our condolences out to the family. You guys are in our prayers. I know what you guys are going through. Wilsons wife says the family knows firsthand what its like to lose a loved one. Last year her daughter was shot and killed in downtown oakland. No one was arrested in the case. As for the crash, wilsons family says they are waiting for the investigation to be completed. As we approach the 4th of july, there are many warnings about the dangers of fireworks. The Consumer ProductSafety Commission put on a series of demonstrations at the national mall. They do it every year. Experts showed several ways that lighting fireworks can be hazardous for both the person lighting them and the people nearby. Four people died and 11,000 people were injured last year lighting off fireworks. Across most of the bay area, all fireworks are illegal. There are a few spots in the bay area where its legal to buy and use safe, sane fireworks. Those locations are limited. Even when they are allowed, people need to be careful as they celebrate Independence Day. I am at phantom fireworks in dublin, california, one of 12 cities in the bay county where its legal to set off fireworks. We will give you a full list later in the show. Late this week the Alameda CountySheriffs Department confiscated 3,260 pounds of illegal fireworks from a Motorcycle Club warehouse in san leandro. The majority of these are aerials. They are rocket propelled and they explode. Every year we see ser use injuries and fatalities as a result of these particular types of fireworks. Hayward police raided a home on holyoke avenue. In the garage they found a homemade lab with chemicals and powder where someone was making their own illegal fireworks. Dublin Little League and soccer league. One of the spokespersons says there is more than enough evidence to begin the impeachment process. At least 25 democrats support a bill that would create a panel to determine whether or not the president is fit to serve. The vower Fraud Commission set out a letter to the states asking for publicly available information on the voters. Ten states said they would not share any voter information. 26 others have said state privacy laws will only allow them to share some of what was requested.
