Goodness they wont even sit down and have a discussion about this. Ive seen the house republicans, time for photo ops. And these silly stunts should end. Shutting down the government isnt kid stuff. Reporter president obama is showing no signs of backing down. Today he said republicans are to blame for the federal shutdown. Because of their effort to wipe out the health care law. Republicans in the house of representatives refuse to fund the government unless we defunded or dis dismantled the Affordable Care act. Theyve shut down the government over an ideological debate. The shutdown did not stop veterans from seeing the veterans memorial. Ktvu channel two news. Fire crews reacted quickly to a a grass fire burning in a park. The fire burned in the regional parks and west of the El Rancho Verde park. It started shortly after three o which after three o after 3 00 this afternoon. The fire did not threaten any buildings. At this point its not known how it started. Three people were taken to the hospital after a munni bus and truck collided. Fire crews arrived at the scene. The mission bus was trying to get around the car that was double parked when the accident happened. Three people on the bus were hurt. None of the injuries appears to be life threatening. Back down to the government shut down. This is the first full day and already were feeling the effects. Thousands of federal employees in the bay area were told not to show up for work today. C. Lawmakers are still getting paid. Some representatives say theyre going to donate their salaries. The uc electrical crews thought they had repaired the damage, a explosion happened last night. Two hours later as power was being restored, a power vault exploded injuring five. A 19yearold man from San Francisco is in custody. Police arrested page at about 6 00 last night after he was identified as the suspect. The shooting happened last saturday night in antioch. 24yearold bragg of brentwood was killed, another man was wounded. The suspect is being held at the county jail in lieu of 2 million bail. Police have not said what led to the shooting. San mateo police are asking for the publics help in identifying bank robbery suspect. This man is accused of holding up a wells fargo at noon. He approached a teller and demanded money while carrying a device that appeared to have a red detonating button. He got away with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is described as middleaged and heavy set. Anyone with information is asked to call brentwood police. Facebook is doing what it can to bring Affordable Housing. The move will keep facebook in compliance with the citys Affordable Housing contract. It will be located two miles from the construction project. Its a story we first brought to you on the ktvu morning news. The owner of the two dogs that were killed says she is devastated. Ktvus john sasaki live in brentwood with what those two dogs did that actually made the killing of them legally justified. John reporter frank and gasia this is the area where the dogs were found. They headed to this trail to a near by ranch and that is where something went horribly wrong. What happened here at this brentwood ranch on saturday was bloody and horrible. All i have left is their ashes in a bag. He beat them to death with a shovel. He took their bodies to his place of employment. Used their equipment to dig a hole. Put those dogs in that hole, poured gasoline over them and burned them to nothing.
