Authorities say the boy was rushed to hospital where he later died. Sheriffs deputies have identified this 18yearold Discovery Bay resident as a suspect in the case. Coming up later at 5 30, much more on the investigation and details on this arrest meantime, Southern California based core runnian college says their 28 remaining campos will be shutting down effective tomorrow. Core runnian is the Parent College of several other colleges. You spoke with several students about this closure, didnt you, heather . Reporter those we talked to are angry, upset. They spent the past few months studying, now, their future is uncertain. We are told that students will be meeting tomorrow to figure out what they plan to do, but right now, many of them are just in shock. Rumor in class last week turned out to be true. I cant believe this is happening. Reporter core runnian college. Owner of everett, and other schools are displacing 16,000 students. We were told concorde campus would not close. I spoke to the president of academics and he told me there was nothing to worry about. Reporter that was on friday, but this morning, students got an emailed followed by a text informing them of the sudden closure. What was your first reaction . Anger, anxiety. Deputies say they arrested 18 yearold William Shultz in connection with the boys death. No word on why it is believed he stabbed the child. By the time deputies arrived, family members had already taken to boy to the hop. It is believed shultz was friends with one of the victims siblings. The little boy was a very cheerful boy. We are hoping to get more word about what may have been the motive in this case. What could have motivated this. Investigators initially putting out an alert to find shultz. They say he took off after the stabbing, but was later arrested at a nearby hospital. So a lot of outstanding questions, but that suspect. 18yearold William Shultz now in custody. They are going to have an update within the next couple of hours . They havent said there are will be an update. Im in constant communication with the sheriffs office. There is a lieutenant on the scene we are understanding may be able to give us detail on this later on. Meantime, Contra Costa County authorities investigating the death of a 51 yearold antioch woman at the west county detention facility. One of several female inmates that needed medical help. Authorities say she suddenly became unresponsive and died. They havent said why she needed medical help initially. Medical workers tried to save her, but she was pronounced dead at the scene a wake held for freddie gray, a man who died in police custody.
