Yes, we dont know the age of the parablader but i can tell paraglider but i can tell you experience can play big role in keeping someone out of trouble and knowing what to do once they get in trouble. Look up from muscle rock beach and you will see them flying with the birds. The pilots dangling from their man made wings. Like surfing the sky. There is a beauty. Reporter at 9 30 a. M. This morning rescue clues rushed to muscle rock beach. A paraglider crashed into the cliffs. He died before rescuers could get him back up the cliff. It is safe. But it is as safe as you make it. Reporter she a pilot. She doesnt rely on the lift to get air as most do. I dont think people would do it without knowing it comes with risks and depends on the experience of the pilot. How experienced was he or she. Reporter what happened this morning is unclear but it is not the first time. Two years ago another paraglider hit the cliffs and went to the hospital with serious injuries. With any aviation you are taking risk. You have to think carefully about how to minimize it risk. When you do they will tell you the risk is worth the reward. People think about it like it is a high adrenaline sport. It is not. You go up, you have the beautiful views that i have had anywhere. Reporter this accident is under investigation. I can tell you it didnt keep anyway away. By the end of the afternoon they are getting crowded. Definitely a sport you need to be coshing about. Thank you very much. Firefighters are battling a grass fire that interfered with traffic along interstate 580. Flames were in the Center Divide on the freeway around 2 00 p. M. This afternoon. Showing how much smoke is in the area. One lane of traffic was blocked as firefighters worked to gain the upper hand on the fire. It was contained and no injuries are reported. A hostage last night has been arrested. Officers say the 51yearsold robbed a Wells Fargo Bank yesterday and witnesses say they saw him leaveoon partly cloudy and leave on a bicycle and later jumped into a car. Officers chased him. He ended up in east oakland where he took a person hostage. The person was able to escape and he was taken into custody. Police are warning residents about two attempted burglaries.
