officer charged of raping a woman while on duty has been fired. Jeffrey graves was fired this week. Hes accused of raping a woman who had called police in 2013 after a dispute with her husband. Graves has been in jail and on administrative leave. He faces 50 years in prison or more if found guilty. Now to an unusual sight. A gray whale badly decomposed washed up on the shore. People Killed<\/a> in a deadly collision between a charter bus and duck boat on a bridge in seattle today have now been identified as
International Students<\/a> on their way to a new student orientation. They were all on the charter bus and attended north seattle college. 44 other people were hurt. Several of them critically. A driver who was behind the duck boat says he saw the duck boat driver overcorrect and swerve right across three lanes of traffic and crash right into the bus. Marisa Martinez<\/a> refuses to give up hope for her daughter. She says shes fighting to save her own childs life and all those other who die from the disease each year. Reporter until recently, the third grader would swing on monkey bars and run around like other children. But now, she is slowed by a fast growing tumor in the brain that is resistant to chemotherapy. Does it make you feel sick sometimes . Yeah. You dont like that . Right. She cant raise her right arm. She cant swallow like she used to. She cant talk like she used to. Reporter zamoras mother says during the summer the 8 yearold started suffering with double vision and started having trouble with balance. What happens to the child is they lose their ability to walk. Reporter the prognosis from doctors is grim. Vipg is almost always fatal. Zamora is now in the honey moon period. Is she in remission. No its just that the tumor has been shrunk down. Hopefully they say that will buy her some time. Three to six months. Reporter after six weeks of radiation treatment. The 8yearold was finally able to return to school here at harvey milk sieve rights civil rights academy. And tonight zamora is celebrating her birthday with her family and friends. Zamora and her parents are fighting to find a cure. I said youre going to find this and were going to help save other children as well. Reporter he is hoping to encourage funding for treatment. In the meantime zamora tells me shes glad to be back in school. Whats your favorite subject . Writing. Reporter zamora says she likes to write stories, perhaps with a happy ending of being able to celebrate another birthday.
