showcase more than 100 films from around the world. dozens of the films in our festival have gone on to be nominated for enemies and oscars, including the winner of the 2020 academy award, for short documentary. this year, we have some of the best films we have ever been privileged to showcase. they tackle the biggest issues of the last 18 months, from democracy, covid, to race and history. and that is where we are going to start. the film that you are about to see is melted down in dixie. and it looks at just how high the hurdles can be for people trying to heal the wounds of violence. we hope that you enjoy. ♪ ♪ ♪
