consistently declassified intelligence about what is to come, and hauntingly, he's been correct. i want to ask you, the president said this, we remain clear eyed, the ukrainians are fighting back with pure courage, but the next few days, weeks, and months will be hard on them. putin's unleash violence and chaos, but while he may make gains on the battlefield, he will continue to pay high price over the long run. is the president -- what is he saying? what should we hear? >> i heard a couple of things. it's a great thing to focus on. one is, remember, putin initially started with a shotgun awe. he thought the ukrainians would run, he thought as eleni would be in poland, that he could just roll in, and everybody would be happy and greet him, happily. that didn't work. you saw the anger in putin's voice, just a couple of days ago, when he put his nuclear forces on alert. if you're winning the war, you don't make threats like that, right? now we're moving to a different
