and that's where -- it's like the old story about the woman who was asked by a friend, how's your husband? she replied, compared to what? how president trump is going to do, compared to what? because if it's up or down on him, he can't win this. >> but aren't incumbents usually what the issue is? isn't when you have an incumbent in a race, isn't it usually a referendum on the incumbent? >> yes, it is, but we've never seen one quite like this where the remarkable thing about president trump's numbers are -- it's the lack of elasticity. that, you know, take gallup. his best job approval rating yet, 46%, his worst, 35%. for fox, it's 48% and 38%. 10, 11-point ranges so there's not much give there, so 75% of americans strongly approve or strongly disapprove. there's no ambiguity here. so, there's not -- his numbers -- all presidentpreside
