together, so they're waiting to see if that plays out in the infrastructure bill. i think the totally nonpartisan commission failing kind of undercuts waiting to see if anything happens on infrastructure. but the other argument they make is that anything that is done to us will come back to us tenfold so they're worried if democrats scrap the filibuster, republicans will take over the senate and then it's just going to be total mayhem. i think that is also a little outdated as an argument at this point after the supreme court. like republicans won't agree to anything they said yes to five minutes ago, anything they said they supported under the trump administration they can't even get to on principle under a biden administration and pushing through -- holding up garland and pushing through their own nominee. so that's kind of outdated. so i think the inability to move forward with a bipartisan commission does kind of kill any arguments that are left and i think may end up pushing some of these moderate democrats over
