An nbc viewer sent this video from blackwood, camden county. There was plenty of this around as the storms rumbled past. [ thunder ] and the rumble of thunder could be heard in camden county. You could see the trees blowing from the strong winds as the area got hit hard tonight. A live look at center city where the made in america festival is going into overtime because of the bad weather. Thousands had to run for cover earlier as the storms moved across the ben franklin parkway. Nbc 10 first alert meteorologist Brittney Shipp is watching more bad weather for the rest of the long Holiday Weekend. As we head into the rest of tonight, were still dealing with thunderstorms. Not as bad as earlier, but you see most of the thunderstorm activity and rainfall is over Atlantic City. Its going to continue to push offshore. Were still going to see a chance of showers and thunderstorms as we head into the rest of tonight. It is spotty as compared to a few hours ago. Were seeing a little light rainfall near west stepford. Near pennsville, isolated showers are tracking east. We have another batch also moving into the suburbs. What you can expect as we head into the rest of tonight, a few more storms to the overnight hours. We are going to see scattered showers as we head into your monday. Police say an suv carrying six young people overturned in paupack township wayne county yesterday morning, about 70 miles north of philadelphia. The three victims have been identified as shames on digney, ryan keffer aaron lesher. There was an offer of condolences to the victims families. And on september 16th, trump plaza will also close. Nearly 8,000 casino workers will lose their jobs. And because so many people are losing their jobs at once, Atlantic Citys main casino union will open a special resource center. This is all part of a joint effort between the States Labor Department and the union. It runs wednesday through september 10th at the Atlantic City convention center. Investigators tell nbc 10 this was no accident. This morning inside reds bar and grill. Police believe the driver of a black vehicle deliberately ran over the victims after they left the bar. We dont know what touched off the incident or the extent of the victims injuries. Police in lower marion are investigating a robbery and assault overnight. It happened around 4 00 this afternoon at a home on the 200 block of edgehill road. Were told the suspect entered the home through a living room window. Thats when the homeowner and his son confronted him. There was a struggle, and the son was hit with a hammer. The suspect took off and got into a waiting car in an alley behind the home. Six people were rescued today from a sinking boat in a jersey shore community. The coast guard plucked them from their 25foot vessel after it started taking on water a mile off seger. A person aboard the sinking boat called for help on a marine radio, and a distress flare was sent up. Coast guard says there was two feet of water in the boat when rescue crews arrived. A ukrainian Spokesman Says a border guard boat at sea was attacked by forces on land. There are fears that prorussian rebels are trying to take control of a bridge between russia and the Crimean Peninsula which russia annexed in march. The San Francisco 49ers defensive end was arrested overnight on felony Domestic Violence charges. In a statement, the teams general manager said the 49ers organization is aware of the recent reports regarding ray mcdonald, and we take such matters seriously. Mcdonalds arrest comes just days after nfl commissioner Roger Goodell announced new penalties for players involved in Domestic Violence allegations. And they are spotty in nature versus what we saw earlier today. We will another round thats moving through and closer to 11 1 we could see moisture 11 1 we could see moisture into clayton. Another batch moving through Lancaster County, heading to downingtown at 11 257, closer to north star before midnight. Over the next 24 hours, were going to see that batch of moisture, rainfall thats sitting over Atlantic City, stretching up north to toms river. Again, that is going to push offshore. Were still going to see more rain developing over Atlantic City, closer to 2 00 a. M. Again, coming out of Lancaster County, along the i95 corridor. Closer to wilmington. As you go to sleep tonight, youre still probably going to hear the rain outside of your window. By the time you wake up tomorrow morning, spotty showers are still expected closer to south jersey, stretching to toms river. Thats going to be the trend as we head into tomorrow. Its going to be a hot, humid, sticky day with a chance of passing showers on and off throughout the day, heading into the afternoon and into the evening. Still dealing with spotty showers even by 6 00. As we get closer to 10 00, 11 00, well start to see more clearing. And as we push into the rest of the workweek, we are going to dry out. Our temperature now have really dropped substantially from our high today which was 93 degrees. 74 in philadelphia. Low 17 in pottstown. 7 low 70s in pottstown. 74 in wilmington.
