Police and prosecutors are both working on this investigation focused on this house along west ashland avenue in glenolden. The District Attorneys Office tells us that a man shot a woman there multiple times before turning the gun on himself. The man is dead. The woman was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Both are in their 60s. This morning Philadelphia Police continue their search for two men wanted in connection with a Home Invasion and robbery in the citys olney neighborhood. Nbc 10s jesse gary has updated information on the investigation. Reporter Philadelphia Police say northwest detectives were able to pull one pair of fingerprints from inside the crime scene after they dusted for prints earlier this morning. Now, all they have to do is match that set of prints to either one or both suspects. The call for help went out around 1 30 this morning to 35th District Police officers. The owner of tellups tavern says she was asleep around midnight when two men broke in through a second floor back window. Police say the 68yearold woman still has bruises on her body from being bound with an extension cord and her own clothing. They tied her up around her neck. They bound her wrists as well as her ankles. And they demanded her to tell them where the money was. She stated she had no money. These two robbers then completely ransacked the property. Reporter the only item that was missing, a handgun registered to the victim. The men are in tha 0s to 30s, onetle ait looking at surveillance cameras video from cameras both at the Olney Transportation Center just over my left shoulder. This morning we are learning that the walmart truck in the deadly crash involving comedian tracy morgan had a system designed to slow down and warn the driver of traffic ahead. Thats according to a walmart spokesperson. The company says its unclear though if the system was working at the time of the crash saturday morning on the new jersey turnpike in middlesex county. The company also says thathe iv kevin roper, was operating within federal regulations which requires drivers to work no more than a 14hour shift. 11 of them driving. Now, according to court documents, roper had not slept in more than 24 hours and dozed off moments before the crash. Roper is facing several charges including death by auto. He is scheduled to appear in Court Tomorrow afternoon. Jury selection begins today in the trial of a man charged with hitting and killing an off duty Philadelphia Police officer with his car. The man is charged withide by vehicle and involuntary manslaughter. Prosecutors say officer mark brady was riding his bike in july of 2012 when he drove right into him. There was bad blood between the men over brady exgirlfriend. Fires spread to three homes in southwest philadelphia. Nbc 10 was on the scene just after the fire started on the 7100 block of guyer avenue right around 6 00 this morning. Within 30 minutes, the fire was under control. Dell dot says it will release its plan today to get the 495 bridge over the Christina River in wilmington reopened. Del dot will hold a News Conference to talk about the status of the bridge closure. We have learned there are no traces of contaminants in samples of dirt believed to have caused the bridges support pillars to tilt. This morning Philadelphia Airport workers are at city hall demanding that leaders enforce a voterbacked raise in the minimum wage. Here is a live look at city hall where the council is holding a hearing right now on the issue. On may 20th, voters overwhelmingly passed a referendum to raise the minimum wage for subcontracted workers in philadelphia to 10. 88 an hour. That would include airport workers. After this mornings hearing, the group plans to march to mayor michael nutters office. We are still waiting to learn if the new Jersey Economic Development board will approve big tax credits that would allow the 76ers to build a practice facility in camden. Here is a live look at the camden waterfront, where the sixers hope to build their new facility with some help from new jersey. The sixers won an 82 million grant from the state to build the new gym. They currently practice at the Philadelphia College of osteopathic medicine. The new Jersey Economic Development authority is meeting right now to discuss the proposal which is listed on its agenda. The nato Service Members were killed in an apparent Coalition Air strike in kabul province. The Service Members were helping to conduct security sweeps on polling places ahead of this weekends president ial election. Officials say this is the worst friendly fire incident involving the United States and Coalition Troops since the start of the nearly 14year a war. Today the members of the Obama Administration will continue their testimony about the decision to release sergeant Bowe Bergdahl in exchange for taliban prisoners. Hes allegedly admitted to the shootings which left a 19yearold Freshman Student dead and three others wounded. Ybarra has a history of Mental Health issues. He was committed twice for Mental Health evaluations after incidents with police. This morning a utah family is mourning the death of their 2yearold child who was killed in a freak accident while they were on vacation. The toddler was climbing on the six foot tall dolphin statue outside of a store in San Francisco when the statue tipped over and fell on top of him. He died from internal injuries. The gallery was warned about the sculpture being on the sidewalk because it violates city code. According to the police, the gallery ignored that warning and continued to put the statue in front of the store. It has been more than two months since a deadly mudslide killed more than 40 people in washington state. A group of survivors have filed a claim against state and local government officials. They say not enough was done to warn homeowners about the risk of a mudslide and allowed housing to be built in the slideprone area. For the survivors of the mudslide, life has been difficult. Sometimes its being alive. When i get really down and the grief is really overwhelming, its like why . The biggest reason for all of us, at least all those that ive talked to, is that we want laws changed. 12 claims have been filed so far. Survivors say they hope a change inlaws will prevent anyone else from dying in a mudslide. Today firefighters are looking into what caused a shuttle bus to go up in flames at Philadelphia International airport. Take a look at the video of the fire that was sent to us by an nbc 10 viewer. This happened right around 8 45 last night at the terminal e baggage claim. Quite a sight there. An airport spokesperson tells us that the driver got out safely and there was nobody else in that area at the time. The road was shut down after the incident. This one little cell here thats actually right around the gloucester and also salem county border. You can see its bringing some light rain right now at this hour and it could move into glassboro. Were tracking this disturbance in d. C. That could be migrating to the northwest in the next few hours that could bring us some showers. Well see if that holds together.
