We were watching every day for signs. They never posted any signs. Secret service told us this street was okay. Ppa was confused about it. Reporter residents say the tow squad showed up this morning and went to work. Then all of a sudden they came and they claimed that we either took down the signs and also that we should have known. Lets take a look how these closures are affecting the area right now. Schuylkill expressway, not doing too bad yet. Westbound or eastbound, we have a significant increase in that drive time, but still doing okay. Still 20 minutes if youre heading into the Center City Area right now. Vine street expressway, the westbound lanes headed towards the schuylkill expressway or 30th street station is where were seeing most of that increase. Well check in again in the next 25 minutes or so with the drive times. Jacqueline . All right, jessica. Now we go high above philadelphia with tim furlong live in sky force 10 for the aerial vantage point. Tim . Reporter interesting when you talk about the parking restrictions and see it on a map and then over it in sky force 10 looking down and you can see the parking restrictions in person, they keep expanding and more and more stuff you see it, stages, speakers, fencing, you name it all popping up on the parkway. You see the size of the operation, made in america, popes visit bigger than all those events. Each day the restricted areas are going to widen. If you use the parkway in or out of the city, its going to get tricky as the week goes on. This also means more spillover as we pan over to 76, the schuylkill expressway. Later in the week thats going to close altogether and get worse as more people show up. I was at the Convention Center a while ago, more and more people are showing up for the world meetings of family. Its going to get tight over the next few days. You need to plan this out, go to nbc10. Com and really look at the areas you need to go and say how can i get around this. Where theres a will, theres a way. Trust me there, is a solution, anywhere you need to get, it just will be a little tricky. Live in sky force 10, tim furlong nbc 10 news. All right, tim. First alert meteorologist Sheena Parveen has a look at the forecast. It is cooler, sheena. It is cooler, definitely, especially this morning. A lot of you notice it. We had overcast skies for a majority of the day, that helped to keep temperatures down quite a bit, too, and they are still down. This is what were sitting at right now. 68 degrees in pottstown, 67 allentown and reading 64. In lancaster, philadelphia coming in at 70 degrees. Were in the low 70s, but that number has since dropped. 70 in millville, 68 degrees in wildwood. All these numbers overnight tonight will be dropping once again and we could still see a few light showers. Right now we have a few very light sprinkles around the philadelphia area, moderate near 76 around northeast philly and also as we go into westchester, up through the Lehigh Valley, 476, light to moderate rain, but for the rest of this evening very slight chance for a shower. If you havent seen one yet, otherwise this is how low temperatures will be dropping again. 52 for allentown and reading, mid 40s in the poconos. Cloudy skies but around 57 for trenton, 58 mount holly. Morning lows along the shore, low 60s. 58 for vineland, 59 in dover. Around the philadelphia area and surrounding suburbs, temperatures will be bottoming out around the upper 50s. Definitely still feeling like fall tonight and tomorrow. Then we have a midweek warm up and, of course, the weekend weather for the papal visit straight ahead. Okay, sheena. It was hard to watch. Disappointment an understatement for eagles fans. Fans sounded off about the first 02 start since 2007. John clark starts us off with comments from coach chip kelly, john . This was one of the worst losses weve seen in a long time because of how inept the offense was and it was against the hated cowboys. The birds have their fewest rushing yards since 1961, 54 years ago. Take a look at the faces of chip kelly and the players. You can see the frustration in their faces. They had just 21 yards of offense in the first half, their fewest yards in the first half in 21 years. They couldnt move the ball more than a yard per play. This is the offense with the second most yards in the nfl in chips first two years. Chip today was asked if this was embarrassing. I mean, i was embarrassed. Thats not the way were supposed to play football and thats not what were all about, but we didnt play well yesterday, and i was embarrassed yesterday. My message was we felt we prepared well in the preseason and now we didnt play well in the first half against atlanta, didnt play well at all against dallas. The team in the second half in atlanta is the team we need to show up this week against the jets. Yeah, you cannot go 03. The birds have dug themselves a hole. Nfl teams since 1990 that started 02 have made the playoffs less than 12 of the time, so a must win sunday at the jets. Were going to hear from sam bradford and Demarco Murray at 5 00. Im john clark, back to you. Team coverage continues now with sydney long live in gloucester county. Im sure fans had plenty to tell you on whether its time to panic. Reporter hey, jim, they do disagree. They cant seem to grasp or let go, depending how you look at it, what happened on the field yesterday and to make it fair we sampled eagles fans who bleed green on both sides of the river, both in south philadelphia and here in south jersey to put our finger on the pulse, is it too early in the season to panic or not . I was panicking and it takes a lot for me to panic, but yesterday was a bit horrendous, panic definitely. Eagles fans went back and forth on whether or not the birds will survive this season with an 02 start to dig themselves out of. Had to walk away from the Television Set quite a few times. Reporter both are big news right now and lots of candidates have opinions. Im panicked, yeah. They look terrible. I dont think its time to panic. Start the season off 02 is not a good thing, but its a long season. As long as we stay healthy, i think you got a good chance. Im definitely panicking because the team isnt clicking as a whole, the offensive line is not looking good. Theres a lot of dropped passes. Reporter one candidate, new Jersey Governor Chris Christie wasnt jumping for joy clearing for dallas in the philadelphia stands sunday, while life long eagles supporter almost walked out of the link early he couldnt bear to watch anymore. They couldnt gain 12 yards on offense rushing, that was just terrible. And they looked clueless. That was the worst thing. They looked completely out of sync. Reporter not time to panic for fans . No, youre a philly fan, you should be used to it. Reporter some say chip kelly and sam bradford fell apart at the seams, some putting their hands on eagles Green Threads the day after. Halfway through the season and still dont have any wins, then we got to start panicking. Reporter now in our unofficial straw poll, some fans tell me the reason they are holding on to the no panic mode hope right now is simply because none of the other Division Teams are looking good either. That is our time for right now, and, of course, this eagles debate will continue all season long. Live in deptford, nbc 10. Stainbc 10 is your officials eagles station. This weekend they take on the jets. Turn to us for exclusive pregame and post game coverage all season long. Now to a developing story, attorney general Kathleen Kane loses the court battle, but she can remain in power. Pennsylvania Supreme Court temporarily suspended kanes law license, but she does not have to leave office. More on what this means for kanes future, deanna . Reporter well, she cant practice law and she cant sign legal documents or make legal decisions, thats according to the pennsylvania Supreme Court and legal experts we spoke to that say Kathleen Kane can remain a figure head of the office. Were told the Supreme Court does not have the power to remove kane from office, however, if she does sign legal documents or practice law in any way, legal experts tell us she could be charged with another crime. Now, the embattled attorney general has maintained shes done nothing wrong and will stay in office. She said shes disappointed in the Supreme Courts decision. Kanes spokesman tells me it hasnt been decided who will take over the day to day legal matters in the office. It could be the First Assistant or another top staffer. We reached out to a former bucks county prosecutor with more than 20 Years Experience running grand juries. He like many lawyers have been watching this same process. He says what happened with Kathleen Kane today is a process that would be used upon any lawyer charged with committing a crime and says in this case kane is being treated like any member of the bar. One wonders whether or not she can even make any decisions as an attorney general. Attorney general makes decisions every single day that impact peoples lives, peoples livelihood. Can she make those decisions if she doesnt have the license to practice law . So, therefore, if shes allowed to continue as the attorney general, it would seem as though her staff is more qualified to practice law than she is. Reporter now the Supreme Court says it reached this decision 50. Zellis says todays decision could help Kathleen Kane when it comes to her defense. Since she has been talking about she is the victim of powerful political foes, she could use this to prove she is being victimized somehow when her case goes to court. Now i also reached out to the Governors Office asking if Governor Wolf will ask the Pennsylvania State senate to try and remove kane from office, the governors spokesperson tells me they are still reviewing todays decision from the Supreme Court. Reporting live in willow grove, deanna durante, nbc 10 news. Kathleen kane released a statement just minutes ago saying in part, i am disappointed by the action taken by the Supreme Court today. I continue to maintain my innocence and will continue trying to clean my name. A school in pennsylvania is forced to evacuate after a student tosses gasoline on a security guard. The female student poured the gas inside a soda can after she was stopped from going inside the school. Shes now been suspended and is in custody. The guard does not appear to be seriously hurt and no students were injured. A worker is now charged with aggravated assault, accused of stabbing his coworker several times inside a hertz food truck. The victim says he never had prior disagreements with tamron jones. Before jones attacked him with a kitchen knife on friday. Philadelphia police say it happened as they drove, he needed stitches in his right eye and his right arm and was treated for stab wounds to his head, stomach, and leg. A big relief for the family of a local girl who disappeared after leaving church. Right now shes safe in the hospital. The 12yearold girl was found at Childrens Hospital last night. Police tell us she is in good condition. These pictures show her at 30th street station last week when she disappeared after wandering away from her church. Overcast skies right now in philadelphia looking out at center city and light rain in the vicinity. So few light showers trying to move right now. Nothing heavy, nothing long lasting, but 70 degrees is our temperature. It is still cool, humidity not too bad with this cool air in place. Its going to stay chilly into tomorrow morning. Look at the temperatures now through the Lehigh Valley. 67 degrees, 67 right now in glassboro, 70 millville, 69 degrees in dover and Atlantic City and these Cool Temperatures are going to drop overnight tonight. Heres a look at the radar, clouds are locked in and will stay this way overnight.
