The inmates escaped at around 9 00 last night and they were captured just before 3 00 this morning. New video this morning shows a kayaker fending off an aggressive hammer head shark. This encounter happened saturday as the kayaker fished off the shore of santa barbara. You see it here. A gopro camera mounted on the kay kayakers head shows him hit the shark with his oar as the shark keeps circling around the kayak. This whole incident lasted about 15 minutes. The fisherman said he hit the shark about 20 times before the shark eventually swam away. Heading into the rest of today on the final day of summer temperatures will stay below average.
