Theyre only calling him a person of interest. They plan to take him to the hospital to see if the victim can identify him. What have you learned . Reporter weve learned quite a bit more since i saw you last. We know there were two suspects here. One was armed with a gun. Police say the other stood at the door and acted as a lookout during the robbery. Police say it happened after 4 00 this morning. There were not any customers but were two clerks inside of the store when the suspects who were both Wearing Masks entered. The armed suspect went right to the register. He pulled out his gun and demanded that one of the clerks open it up. The clerk did as he was told. He handed over the cash. He was still shot by the suspect. The male with the gun ordered him to open the other register, which he could not. Because he could not, the male with the gun i guess got frustrated and fired at the employee. Reporter after the shooting, the lookout threw a bookbag in the store. The shooter stuffed the money in there, and both took off. The police set up patrols in the area and found a man hiding on top of a roof. They took the person into custody. They believe it could possibly be the lookout in all of this. They are still searching for the shooter. That clerk, by the way, listed in stable condition after being shot in the shoulder in this incident. The radio host and veterans advocate was found shot to death in her lynnwood home in 2012. At a hearing last week, the county prosecutor asked the judge for a dna sample from kauffmans husband district of columbia james kauffman. Husband, dr. James kauffman. And calling for justice. A family angry after a s. W. A. T. Unit barged into their home only to find it was the wrong house. Sonia valpaisdaniels showed nbc10 where she said the s. W. A. T. Officers mistakenly broke down her door last wednesday. She said the u the officers used a flash bomb in the columbus dispatchkitchen before they realized it was the wrong home. Her son says his mother has high Blood Pressure because of the situation, and theyre considering police action. Came with a gun, pushed me and her to the floor. I said, what happened, what happened . She said, no talking want dont say nothing. The police will explain with you later. Somebody got to be held accountable. Officials said an apparent intelligence gap led to the incorrect home.
