Thats about 40 Miles Per Hour winds by tomorrow afternoon. And its moving away from florida. But hold up because its going to get picked up and drawn back toward possibly the panhandle, possibly the big bend of florida at this point. This is thursday morning. Still a Tropical Storm at this point. But no matter where its going, its going to impact our weather. Increased rain chances day on thursday. Possibly even some rip currents and high surf. All day thursday it treks through north florida and then entering into back into the Atlantic Ocean and heads away from us. Through the gulf of mexico, its really entering this area with bath water basically. So it has the fuel to strengthen. And heres the issue though, tuesday even, everybody says yes. All the models say in the central gulf. More con have convoluted. We are watching and anyone along the gulf coast should keep an eye on it as well. And by the way, tropical depression eight off the carolina coastline, could affect the outer banks there. And we have major hurricane gaston which thankfully is moving away if the u. S. Coastline. Someone drove by around 11 30 last night and fired multiple times into the home on the 7300 block of west cot drive. A 1yearold girl was sound asleep in a front bedroom when wrist. She was rushed to the local hospital. We are told by investigators that she should be okay. But obviously a dramatic situation for the little girl and for family members. No one else inside the home was hurt. Now the home itself was hit by multiple bullets. And again, nobody was injured but many questions still remain. And more breaking news, the body of a missing alzheimers patient is found. Deputies discovered the mans body floating in a pond near his care takers home in wesley chapel. He recently moved here from georgia. He was first reported just after 3 00 this morning. The care taker told deputies he complained about wanting to go home. An airport scare in los angeles. Hundreds of travelers at lax following reports of shots fired. You can see them standing out there. After an exhaustive search, police claim they did not find a gunman and in fact no shots were fired. They do believe the loud noises were mistaken as gunfire. Hillsborough deputies are working to get to the bottom of a Home Invasion shooting. This happened late saturday night in the 16000 block of dew drop lane two. Men who drove from miami busted down the back door armed with tazersment once inside, inside started 14509ing at them, hit started shooting at them, hitting the men from miami. They were rushed to the hospital. Meanwhile, deputies claim the shooter took off running. Polk county deputies get a break in the case of a restaurant car jacking and the lakeland man arrested is no stranger to the law. They put the cuffs on the 41 yearold. Investigators believe he is the one who car jacked a woman outside of a bone fish grill earlier this month. Now the car was found crashed restaurant. Meanwhile, he has a long record and he was on inmate release status for a carjacking. And happening today, pinellas parents say they are outraged also scared for their kids health. Today though, its not going to be an issue for us. We will keep it muggy, 80 degrees at 8 00 a. M. 8895 noon. 93 at 4 00 p. M. And a 30 rain chance at midday, up to 50 rain chance through the afternoon. Today and tomorrow, steamy and yeah, maybe more storms around. By wednesday as the storm turns in the gulf of mexico and heads chances increase and thursday at this point looks like the day we would see the most impact from the system including strong winds, flooding, and rough surf. So our rain chances go from 50 today to 60 tomorrow. And 70 for wednesday and thursday. When we talk about the flooding impact, heres the overall rainfall potential. Between now and tomorrow, we could pick up almost an inch. Just widespread general forecast there. And adding wednesdays rain, multiple inches of thursday could end up being 6 to 7 inches of rain. Again, thats cumulative between now and thursday but still that could lead to flooding issues. We will check on traffic on the 8s. Because the rain hasnt started yet. Thank goodness. Better Rain Coverage around 3 00, 4 00, 5 00 before everything pushes out into the gulf of mexico. And i believe we will taper most of the rain chances out the forecast overnight. But tomorrow morning, that tropical moisture continues to increase. And so do our rain chances, all wrapping around this area of low pressure so that tomorrows rain chance goes up to 60 . And then after that of course will be dependent on the eventual track of tropical depression nine. At this point, it heads into the central gulf of mexico, warm water out there, really a chance to strengthen to a Tropical Storm status by tomorrow. Before making that hard right turn back toward florida. Morning. At that point, we would see worsening conditions across florida. Meaning higher winds, higher amounts of rainfall, possibly even some flooding concerns across the tampa bay area depending on the actual track. And worst weather wednesday and thursday before things get better toward the weekend. How about traffic on the 8s . Well, good speeds on the bay area interstatings. We have some issues, eastbound i4 the exit to county road 559. Collision is off to the side of the roadwa part of pinellas county, tarponwoods, just a little bit beyond that to the south of it, boot ranch boulevard at east lake road, an accident.
