Crews will be working throughout the night in concord cleaning that up tornado damage. Our chief meteorologist Kevin Lemanowicz is breaking down the strength and the path of the storm. A stack of chopped up trees are waiting to be picked up in the morning. Before that you can see flashing lights thats where crews are restoring cable and internet. Around the corner from here the hardest hit area by this tornado residents are still awaiting all power to be restored. The clean up will take days but the disaster itself an e,f1 tornado only taking seconds to tear down power lines and damage 39 homes in concord. It lasted more than a minute that would be pushing it. It really sounded like a were ripped from the ground early monday morning in a path carved 400 yards wide and a half mile long cleared by 100 milesperhour winds. Were blessed, absolutely. Nobody got hurt. Reporter a tree smashed through the greenhouse at nearby millbrooke farm another job for tree removal. The wind lifted the tree right out of the ground and just in. They tell me that he and some others were working on feeding a bundle of tree into a chipper when one of them popped bun and hit them in the head. We saw and thought lets take a look at the velocity scan and indeed, all this red is wind going into your tv screen the green is coming out at you. Be some rotation. There lets look at this three dimensionally. From the cloud to the ground and you can clearly see the red and green next to each other here. Often a little gap in here that would be the zero line. In, out and the zero line now you can connect the dots and you clearly have a circumstances. That was the tornado touching down 3 19 this morning thats how we were able to tell on radar that that is a radar out there. Kevin as you know that fast moving storm also brought heavy winds and one never touched down there. Crews did spend much of the day cleaning up downed trees and power line. We found some of the worst damage on walker street. The power was in that cased out there for a few hours but it is back on tonight.
