Reporter hi rick and monica this storm system is still bringing heavy snow to parts of new england and it is stalled off the coast of cape cod and parts of massachusetts and eastern long island 30 inches of snow and its still coming down, in the meantime we were in the rip off zone when it came to the snow and that is because of the shift in track we knew there were a lot of uncertainties with the forecast why didnt we see the snow we were expecting with that little bit a shift in the track, you get what is called a substance zone, and the air sinks, it drys and it warms and tough to produce snow when have you sinking air and 60 miles to the east, that is where we have the rising air and that is where parts of new england and eastern long island, looking at the snowfall rate of 2 inches perfect hour and that went on for about 12 hours, we really escaped the brunt of that storm system.
