Reporter investigators say the thieves climbed up the ladder in the back destroying the wiring box as a result the phones, the internet, the security system. They were all taken down. Reporter investigators also tell us this is the second time the Jewelry Store has been broken into in two months and they say it likely couldnwould have been avoided. Detectives say the thieves likely waited to see if officers showed up and when they didnt they ransacked the to are. They were alerted through the night that the alarms were going off but they did not send the police out. They sent a Family Member over and he drove over to check on the place and it seemed secure so they thought something was wrong with the alarm system. A Philadelphia Police officer was knocked unconscious this morning after al confrontation with a teenaged suspect in northeast philadelphia. The officer responded to the 12,000 block of academy road at 4 00 a. M. For reports of a man Walking Around with a gun. Suspect violently struggled with the officer and was able to actually pick the officer up off the ground and slam his body. The officers head hit the ground. He was knocked unconscious. Police found the 17yearold minutes later, about 20 minutes later. Police are now investigating whether the suspect is behind an Armed Robbery yesterday morning at a nearby 7eleven. They say he matches the description of a male in his teens wearing braces. We have al tragic update to the story of a fiveyearold bucks county boy who was and foun found face dowe snow last week. Warrington police say the boy died over the weekend. Investigators say it was a bizarre accident. The fall dog strangled the youngster while they were playing in the backyard. The dog tugged on the boys scarf until he lost consciousness. The Rural Community of shoe makersville in berks county was the scene of murdersuicide early this morning. Then they found a man dead in this home about a half a block ay what. It was a murdersuicide but apart from that its anyones guess at what happened early this morning in this quiet tiny town in bucks county. Charity was getting ready for bed after working the late shift at her job. It was 1 oclock in the morning when she heard someone banging on her front door. That person was Carol Zimmerman who groff says she had only met a few times before. She said please help me and she came to my door and she banged on it and i told her i was going to call 911u groff did call 911 and just as the dispatcher was instructing her not to open the door so to protect herself and her family groff says she heard something terrifying in her backyard. I was in the living room at this time and i heard a gunshot go off. Reporter state Police Quickly arrived to find zimmerman had been shot to death. As authorities began scouring the neighborhood, they found this homeless than a block ay what. The lights were on and the front door was opened. Inside they found 61yearold gary mauer dead of a self inflicted gunshot wound. Now the only known link between the victim and alleged shooter is that zimmerman was a family friend helping mauer sort that was personal and Financial Issues involving mauers mother who died about two weeks ago. Since the only two people who know the full story are dead, police say they may never know the motive behind this apparent murdersuicide. Unless somebody that knows something that we dont know yet, somebody we didnt talk to comes forward and tells us the rest of the story, we dont really know. The Wilmington Fire Department put their training to work today to rescue a 14yearold boy from the brandywine creek. Crews lowered ropes and hooked the boy into a harness to lift him up. The Fire Department responded to the calls that someone had jumped from the Market Street bridge at 7 30 this morning. When First Responders got there, the boy was sitting in a drainage tube. The program will graduate 40 teachers a year. An effort is under way to make philadelphia Public Schools more energy efficient.
