Thunderstorms. Most of these are in south jersey. Theyre pushing towards the shore. These storms are producing a lot of lightning, brief strong wind gusts ahead of them and maybe pea sized hail. If you manage to stay indoors and ride these out over another half hour or so they should be off the coast. Nothing else coming yet but way up north in new york state additional showers and thunderstorms and we can see those on the wide view on satellite. When this batch comes in later this afternoon, it could wind up being a problem really firing up from about philadelphia down through south jersey and delaware later this afternoon in through early this evening. Well be keeping a close eye on those because they look like they could produce strong tajing wind gusts hail and a lot of lightning and downpours. 76 in city of philadelphia. As you step outside this morning not only is it warmer than yesterday but that muggy air has definitely come back overnight. 76 in allentown, 77 in trenton, 73 muggy degrees in wilmington and 72 in cape may where the storms are on your way in their direction. If youre doing a workout you might want to wait until the storms are done but get it done early because later this afternoon youll be under the threat of showers and thunderstorms. 78 degrees by 7 oclock, 84 by 10 oclock, 86 by noon and your high today is going to be that 88degree reading at 3 oclock. Muggy conditions, temperatures are really going to drop quickly as we head toward dinnertime and those next rounds or that next round of thunderstorm activity comes in. Karen, well track todays storms and then theres another round possible on thursday so a lot happening in the sevenday forecast. So, if youre in the coast in south jersey and delaware on the road youre going to watch for those thunderstorms that dave showed us that are moving through the area. Right now in conshohocken we can see no storms here and no problems. This is the blue route past the schuylkill. Now up ahead the overnight construction has cleared and no other issues here between villanova and

moving just fine. The vine was closed overnight for construction and its in the process of reopening right now. Were looking live at the vine approaching the schuylkill. Thats westbound traffic headed towards the schuylkill expressway and westbound lanes are all reopened, eastbound has been in the process of reopening and we can see no problems right there eastbound but were watching for that. The ramp from the schuylkill eastbound to the vine, that is still blocked. Theyll be in the process of opening up within the next few minutes or so but crews will return again tonight at 11 oclock so youll see the closure of the vine once again. Dark shot here i know but tacony palmyra bridge just finished an opening for a southbound ship. Cars are moving through once again and the overnight

Admiral wilson boulevard approaching 130 emergency construction continues blocking lanes here and on 38 eastbound and thats been causing headaches. It will continue to do so, tam. Okay, thank you karen. Developing overnight a double shooting in kensington wounded two young men and damaged several parked cars. At least six shots were fired on the 800 block of madison street just before 1 30 this morning. An 18yearold was shot in the leg and a 23yearold was shot in the back. Theyre both now in the hospital in stable condition. Philadelphia police tell us that they are after one shooter who they believe was armed with a gun in each hand. And

say a murder mystery is now solved. A woman was found dead in
Fairmount Park
handcuffed stabbed and shot. Police believe they now have her killer with one woman now facing charges. Theyre also questioning another woman. Action

with murder criminal conspiracy kidnapping and robbery. According to investigators bryant was tortured, beaten and shot in the back of the head, all over an 800dollar debt. Well,

for children where she is listed in stable condition. What went on inside this house . This is the question that bucks county authorities have begun to ask as they interview some of the dozen girls who were found at this feasterville home last week. An 18yearold there was allegedly given away as a young teen by her
Lancaster County
parents whose pictures you see now. She says that she was given as a gift to 51yearold lee kaplan to pay him back for a debt. She was 14 at the time and police say she has since given birth to two of kaplans children. Kaplan is now charged with statutory sexual assault. Investigators are looking into if there was criminal conduct as well towards any of the other girls and trying to understand what their life was like under kaplans roof. For now, these girls will live in foster care in

You can see another one just to the north of allentown, too, so well be keeping our eyes on that but the active situation right now is down in south jersey and again, if you are in reeds beach, sea isle city, ocean city stone harbor or wildwood these are the approximate times of arrival for these thunderstorms so its not too much farther away. Theyre moving at about a 30

clip. Obviously lots of lightning strikes here. In fact, just in this view that were showing you right now, 108 lightning strikes just within the last roughly 10 minutes. Heavy downpours from these storms as well. Theres also the possibility of some gusty winds out ahead of these and if i change this over, im now showing you what looks like just sort of purple blobs and this is actually an indication that there may also be some small hail in this cluster of thunderstorms as well and if i change this over to the strongest of these echoes, everywhere where you she those little purple blips thats a possibility of pea sized hail another indication these storms are on the strong side. And again ill leave you with that live image of those storms coming in toward the coast. Now, again, if we go out wider theres additional storms heading down toward allentown. Youre probably still about an hour away from these, maybe less and well continue to get a track on those as they get a little bit closer to you up north but its south jersey right now that has the main issue. As we take a look outside we have sky6 at the airport. Nothing happening here and most of these storms long gone from the airport area at this point as theyre popping toward the shore.
