We have clear skies right now. You can see just a few clouds especially near the coastline but were going to have a gorgeous day with wall to wall sunshine. We have earned it and today is the day we get it. Some people were complaining yesterday even though it was nice in the afternoon. It took awhile for the humidity to drop. Sometimes people hit the brakes when they realize theyre going over a bump like this over the milled road surface. We have one vehicle off to the side and one vehicle taking out the left lane so youre only squeezing by in that right lane slowly as you come eastbound on the schuylkill away from conshohocken. Weve been watching a sinkhole that resultd from a water main break yesterday in south philadelphia along south broad at geary so thats just south of 76 by the cvs as you head toward the Sports Complex watch out for those restrictions. No more restrictions on the vine street expressway. Everything is reopened and no delays yet. Meanwhile though in the northeast byberry road is closed. Thats demolition of the nabisco plant thats closing and the boulevard southbound had overnight work but that should be out of the way now as is construction on 422. Escalating threats between the u. S. And north korea. The standoff started with north korea making general Nuclear Threats and anger over new un sanctions. President trump issued a harsh and ominous warning to the asian country. Leader kim jong un responded pie saying north korea has plans to attack gaum an american territory in the pacific. Gaums governor says hes been in touch with the white house and the threat level in gaum has not changed. Still this has rising tensions and they could be felt across the world. Strong words from President Trump on north korea. North korea best not make any more threats to the United States. They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen. Reporter that statement tuesday in bedminster, new jersey, comes in response to kim jong uns threat to make the u. S. Pay dearly following tough new sanctions from the united nations. The exchange followed an assessment from u. S. Intelligence analysts who believe that north korea can now produce a miniaturized Nuclear Warhead that can fit inside its intercontinental missiles. Some have praised the president s remarks but others met his words with criticism. I take exception to the president s comments because you got to be sure that you do what you say youre going to do. What he was basically doing is threatening nuclear war against north korea. This is at a time where any war with north korea would be catastrophic. Reporter now in a statement carried by its state run news Agency North Korea says its military is examining plans for a missile strike on gaum, a u. S. Territory thats home to 163,000 people and a u. S. Military base. Gaums governor eddie calvoa said they were ready. Currently theres no threat to our island or the marianas. All right, thank you, katherine. Also developing this morning French Police say a vehicle slammed into soldiers guarding a paris suburb injuring six of them before actually getting away. This happened in a suburb just as a group of soldiers were about to board vehicles for a new shift. A Police Spokesman says the vehicle appeared to clearly target the soldiers but the motive is unclear. Authorities are now out there looking for the driver in the dark bmw. A Death Investigation is now under way in Atlantic City where a body was discovered at the tropicana hotel. Investigators say hotel staff called 911 last night saying they found a person dead inside a room. The Atlantic County Prosecutors Office did not say if drugs were involved or if there is any sign of trauma but they to believe this is an isolated incident. Happening today, the fate of the controversial dunes project in the jersey shore town of margate could be decided. So youre kind of squeezing by in between in the right lane and already this morning its causing some major delays. Lets pull in the waze app. You can see those delays now start back around gulph mills and go into that accident scene. But if youre thinking alternates, which you might want to at this point, we dont have any problems reported along ridge pike, route 23, conshohocken state road looks okay as does route 30 lancaster avenue through villanova and along the main line. The schuylkill is the one to avoid at this point. Ill think about using one of those secondary routes. On 76, 19 Miles Per Hour eastbound because of that construction. Construction warnings in bala cynwyd theyre closing belmont avenue during mid days from 9 00 until 3 00. Thats lasting through next friday at least. 23 or 76 the schuylkill would be alternates, although like i said dont head for 76 right now. In the northeast byberry road is shut down, thats for demolition of the old nabisco building. In Pennypack Park holme avenue theyre working on that bridge. That work going through mid october. I think grant avenue would be a better bet in that case k milford township bucks county work these days along kumry road.
