A lot i want to talk about obviously the latest thing to come out was this memo the supposed memo yesterday before we get into the whole impeahment talks, i just want to get your take both of you respective parties on where we go from here. If this is if there is any truth to this watch does this do as far as the inner working of the white house, between the administration and congress and workings between the administration and the people of the United States<\/a>. Gary, what do you think. Listen, i think what congress does is they threat hands on this memo and they have comey come and testify even if they have to subpoena him. In terms of inner working of the white house, you can change that staff all you want, but if the president continues to make impulsive decisions, changing staff wont be the least bit of help. Mike washington do you think . I think gary is exactly right. The first thing in the current cycle we need to find out we need t memo. Find out whats in it. We need to verify that its indeed accurate as alleged we need to get the white house story on it. We probably need to get our hands on all the memos that comey wrote of these kinds for president s of kept of consistency and comparison. That would be important. Star the inn inner workings of white house theyll be distracted by this. Its into the good thing to always have this kind of thing hanging over your head. But if the president would stick to a given message on a day the biggest problem they have is getting their daily message out and sticking to it. If he would learned to that, i think things would smooth out a little bit. We talked a with members of congress. They say obviously there seems to be more of distance growing now between congress and the way its operating and the white house and the way thats ope operating. Concern, not a concern, can they work independently of each other . Well, look if they want to get legislation through, they have to work together. But the point is, its not the white house its the president thats the problem. You know every time the white house puts out a perfectly plausible reason for the president s actions, the president says no, thats not why i did it. Like, what do you think. Again we get back to mes messaging. They have a meet. They decide on what the agenda s they decide on what the message is. A loft the players on the stage commit to their parts they go out don it, and from the white house you have an occasional free lance, you know, jag left shift right it makes it difficult for everybody to stay on the same page especially when they dont know that the change is coming. If you look again bear with me one example a lot of online betting sites around the world that bet on politics, okay, cant do it here in the United States<\/a>, but when you look at britain, when you look at other places, when the president was elected, if you look at the odds of impeachment it was around 16one now its essentially even odds. Im not glorifying gambling. Im just using this as representative and its not one but its a number of place that is are looking and saying, we may be getting closer and closer to Something Like<\/a> this being a possibility. What do you think about that . Sure its a possibility. But its not a probability. Im not betting man but i would bet money on 50 50 odds impeachment. Against impeachment what im trying to say. What do you think the probability of it happening is . I am a betting man and i didnt note odds were so good. Im thinking of getting out of here and placing my bet on im not trying to glorify gambling its following a trend here and a pattern when you look at 16one odds at the election. Tenone odds at the inauguration and even odds now he was going to get elected. Look at the probabilities of that. You say impeachment the first word to minds in my mind is premature. This near recent talked with a number of members of congress who have said this as well a lot of democrats quick to use the i word and throw out impeachment as a threat or whatever it may be. But theres also this line of thinking that that could back fire because if President Trump<\/a> is impeached, the vicepresident a president pence would hold more power for the Republican Party<\/a> and thus that could back fire toward any democrats efforts. But this time, its from a broken pipe. Ten months after t allison . Also ahead, say cheese or maybe not. If you want to look younger and have beautiful diamonds. First up at 8 00 water main break causing major issues in Ellicott City<\/a> of the part of the area main street shut down for hours. The city no stranger to dealing with the effects of water damage following major flooding along that same street just last year. Bob barnard is live with the very latest now. Good morning. Reporter hey, good morning, guys. Were uphill from the hitter 86 part of main street which flooded on july 30th last summer. But it is it is still Ellicott City<\/a>. You can see the water here in the middle of the road. The car that was parked on the road that collapsed into the sink hole caused by this broken water main break is just been taken away. It was a car that had been parked there overnight. And you can see the water is kind of slowly coming down. Theyre slowly turning it off carefully. We can show you video from sky fox earlier this morning when the car was still in the hole. Again, a lady who lives across the street park it there every night were told and was not in the car when it got gobbled up. This was reported at 4 00 oclock this morning. It is a 12inch main. Were not sure how old it is. County Officials Say<\/a> it broke for whatever reason as pipes do all across the area. They say five to seven a month basically in this area. Two homes have water in the basement. One of them were told 4 feet of water in the basement, and they cant get to that until they turn the water off which is a careful process. So that more trouble isnt created upstream. Here n the bureau of utilities here in Howard County<\/a>. Water is flowing down this pipe at a very high volume like a Freight Train<\/a>. If you stop that Freight Train<\/a> too quickly it derails. If we shut the water main took quickly it will break another water main upstream. We try to do it in cautious controlled shut down. Reporter now we are told water is not actually getting down on to the main streetin the historic part of the city which ten months ago was devastated by the rainwaters, the flood waters. But again you have a couple of homes here that have water in the basement and were told when they finally get this water turned off, guys, there will be impact. No Water Service<\/a> in this general part of Ellicott City<\/a> and that the longer process going to be to repair this road much thats going to take probably all day they hope to have main street here just north of the historic part of Ellicott City<\/a> tomorrow by tomorrow mornings commute. Top story this morning really that President Trump<\/a> asked former fbi director james comey to shut down an fbi investigation into former National Security<\/a> adviser strongly denying the report which was first publish in the New York Times<\/a>. Comey wrote a memo the day after flynn was fired allegedly the president said to him i hope you can let this go. The house Oversight Committee<\/a> chair is now demanding to see all internal memos between comey and the president and many lawmakers say if true, the alleged request comes close to the Legal Definition<\/a> of obstruction of justice. Whats next in this latest claim that has once again put the white house on damage control. Joining us now Catherine Herridge<\/a>. Lets take the broad look here catherine it seems like everybody is white house statement or accusations, people are readerring into what i feel some people want to see out of this. What are we really dealing with . Well, what we know through our reporting here at fox news is that there was at least one meeting that made the former fbi dread director james comey uncomfortable, and that he documented that meeting just for some context my contacts say it was entirely in character for comey to make meetings or to take notes because he is a career prosecutor. He is a lawyer by training and hes also government bureaucrat and it was very common to memorialize a conversation especially if he felt it would be important going forward. Whats interesting this morning is that at least one republican in the house Pete Sessions<\/a> is saying if were going to request these comey memos that apparently deal with meetings with President Trump<\/a>, lets also ask for the memos that document his discussions or his feelings about attorney general Loretta Lynchs<\/a> meeting with bill clinton at the height of the fbi probe into Hillary Clintons<\/a> use of a server for government business and lets also look at other important decisions like his Public Statement<\/a> last july about recommending against charges in that probe and see if we can get an entire picture of what the fbi director documented and felt would be important. Just to be clear from legal standpoint since you bring up the attorney part here when it comes to mr. Comey, whateg standing would that, f that document is presented, what legal stand wog that document have simply taking notes in a meeting have. Well, notes are can be very important in terms of evidence and theres good precedent for this. Back in the bush another station, there was the showdown over government surveillance that involved the deputy comey at that time, and the fism director Robert Mueller<\/a> and comeys version of events was challenged at that time by the bush white house, and then director mueller provided his notes to back up verify comeys accounts so these notes can be really effective evidence when it comes to backing up or c cutting down a story, and, again, with the fbi, remember, every interview they take handwritten notes or typed notes, and then they formulate whats called a 302 which is a formal memo summarizing the interview again memorializing what happened. So this is really kind of in the bloodstream of anyone who work at has requested from the fbi that all memorabilia notes, summaries, recordings of any talks between the president and james comey be turned over. How likely is that to happen . Does that have to happen . Well, theyve put forward a very tight deadline of may 24th. There will be certain elements in that sort of pile of information which the white house could probably with hold on the basis of executive privilege. But i anticipate that some of these records will be provided. I think though for your viewers at home, the thing to watch for is how quickly we see public testimony from the former fbi director and based on the conversations im having theres a lot of pressure on him now to testify publicly as to what exactly happened. And thats coming from very senior people in the senate. Most notably last night from senator john mccain i think that is going to provide the most full some answer in terms of what documents exist version of events really i would i would add one thing. When you look at this particular situation, you have to remember that sometimes the shoe is on the other foot. And by asking for all of these memos, what the democrats have to also anticipate is that we may see a lot of airing of dirty laundry that relates to that Clinton Probe<\/a> as well. So it really could be a catch 22 for each side here. What would be the reasons that he would not want to testify, it would seem he would everything to gain especially after being fired . Right. From my conversations the fbi director has always been a big proponent of public testimony especially when its issues that he feels are of significant public interest. If you think just back to last year in the clinton email probe, there were two specific hearings one in the house and one in the senate as i recall and he did in excess of 12 hours of public testimony about that issue. So it would be not in keeping with his character to resist public to be sort of on his timetable and his terms. And there are also issues of classification in this particular case as well. Catherine, well have to run but before we do real quick i want to switch gears for second. New information out this mor morning. When it comes to whether or not the president shared secrets in the oval office with russian leaders. The russian president coming out this morning and saying look this seems ridiculous to me. I havent her anything. Nothing has been brought to me. Have we learned anything new in that scenario . Everything ive learned through my reporting is that certainly was a discussion of classified intelligence that related to this laptop computer. And as you know from following this subject, intelligence is an art and not science, and what was specific information that may have been revealing a source to one person, may not necessarily reach that threshold for another. And i would say, again, that if you put it in context, the Previous Administration<\/a> also faced calls about releasing information, Sensitive Information<\/a> to russia that led to air strikes against some of our aie syria. The shooting happened right out front of the bald Eagle Rec Center<\/a> in southeast d. C. In the bellevue neighborhood. It happened just before 6 30 last night. There were a lot of people out including children playing outside and we actually spoke to the ward eight councilman tray i dont know white who tells us everyone is relieved none of the kids were hurt in this, but we have a call to dc police to get more information about what exactly led police to shooting this woman. Now this is video from last night. Police say again just before 6 30 they got a call about a car that was in the area. It crashed at the end of july lee yet street and them they got another call that the driver a woman was armed with a gun, and chief newsham tells us she was alone inside that vehicle and that the officers arrived to the scene, they made contact with the woman and then ended up shooting her. Up to the shooting. Hes not providing many other details surrounding the shooting. We know the woman passed away at the hospital late last night but again unclear whether you know she lived in the area and what exactly happened. Take listen to police chief newsham. I know that we did have at least two officers that fired their weapons. We will, of course, take a look and see if the body warn cameras were activated. We will multiple cameras up there in the area that we will review and as you saw there was a number of people out here. Theyre being very cooperative. Reporter now, you heard the chief mentioning that there were a lot of people. We also talked to a lot of neighbors when we were out there late last night and the neighbors tell us that none of them actually saw the woman or a gun but they did hear gunshots in the area but hopefully these multiple Surveillance Video<\/a> cameras outside of the building as well as the body warn footage will help police find out exactly what led up to this shooting. Water main break shut down part of the main street for hours. Lets get back to bob barnard whos there live and following this story all morning long. Tell us that main has been shut off now, bob. Reporter well, theyre in the process of shutting it off its a fluid situation literally guys here. You see these trucks are actually from bg and e which are here to make sure theyll get in the way of the flood we can show from you skyfox the earlier video when there was actually a parked car that was in the sink hole created by this water main break. Basically bg and e is here because theres a utility pole that is right next to the water main break and theyre concerned that pole could fall and it would knock a lot of power out in this area when they finally get the water shut off and start repairing the road. Fixing the pipe thats down there. If you come back to us live you can see the water has been shut down a bit but theyre doing gradually because theres fear of a Ripple Effect<\/a> that so much water going through this 12inch broken pipe that if they shut it down right away the valves upstream could actually explode and theyll be more breaks. You see a lot of people here. This is Howard County<\/a> utility the bureau of utilities here. Theyre the ones who are fix the pipe. Need to fix the road. They say the pipe repairs shouldnt be too big a problem but that the street could take all day and into the night to row pair here. This is main street just uphill from main street in the historic part of the city which flooded last summer. So main street is now closed between rogers avenue and bellefont drive. But there are plenty of work arounds so the traffic impacts arent great. Right now theres still Water Service<\/a> to all the homes in this area. Two have flooded. Were told theres 4 feet of water in one of the basements behind you as you look through there. And that when they do shut the water off, theyre going to water impacts no Water Service<\/a> for a number of homes and businesses in this area for a time. But again guys, its a fluid situation as theyre trying to make sure they dont create any more problems as they try to fix this pipe repair the road and get things back to normal here in Ellicott City<\/a>. But heavy delays on the inner loop side of approaching pennsylvania avenue and then again you slow from branch avenue to the wilson bridge. The usual delay you can see the outer loop right there through largo really slow up to 50. In fact that outer loop all the way to bw parkway. Suitland parkway inbound theres a crash at irving street in southeast delays back to silver hill road. So watch out for those delays as you try to get toward 295. Eleventh street bridge heavy 295 southbound parked down to the 11th street bridge. Disable tractor trailer at this is actually on the outer loop this morning and its in the delays. Were slow from before 95 all the way over to past Georgia Avenue<\/a>. Its about a 35 minute delay 95 southbound basically parked from theism cc on down. 95 northbound this crash blocking the shoulder 216 delays are easing but jammed back to the icc this morning. Well, theres a lot of pressure on women to have it all the spouse, the kids, the fulfilling career, but even women who excel at juggling all of that might be putting their relationship at risk according to a new book if youre an alpha female. Let me just say that. Com about men just wanting a woman who is nice. What happened . You got a lot of, lets say, traction . I did get a lot of traction. You know its all about headlines for sure for those articles but if you read the content of the article, theres really Nothing Shocking<\/a> about very simple kind of old stuff that, um, that applies to the way men and women interact and what their each kneading and wanting from another one another its a generalization talking about men in general and women in general but ultimately the best way to gauge whether or not you need to read the Alpha Females<\/a> guide take this quiz i put in the book. And youll determine from that quiz which i think you said you took. I took it. I dont know how to feel about this, because im not an alpha female. Though i often take on that r role. My husband takes on rolls, too and we sort of, you know, switch flip flop i took the test and all of the answers except for four and five i answered no to. Do you take every day frustrations out on your husband as though hes the caution of that frustrations. A lot of people do and theyre li then do you listen to your husband. We have something to say without immediately formulating a response in your head. Right. So its so much about being more receptive to whats being said and not necessarily needing to man everything and be in charge which were so used whether youre at home with kids and thats a take charge roll or whether youre in the office. Youre doing your own thing. Youre independent but its really all about switching gears when you come home at night and learning how to be really a better spouse. Right. Those two rolls really dont have lotted to with each other. So what i want is for women and men to get back to that initial chemistry and that masculine and Feminine Energy<\/a> that they actually felt and experienced when they first got together if you think back to your relationship with your husband, back in the early days, you probably did remember a very different kind of dynamic. So i use this batteries to show a positive and negative energy be energy. When we first get together, its very natural for there to be a masculine have those two energies and hes making the overtures. Hes picking you up. Hes paying the bill. And hes asking to you marry him. We get mad if they dont if were being honest. Yeah. Okay. Youre receiving that. Youre the bait what im calling very loose term alpha beta type a or type b. All about at the beginning you were happily receiving that energy and thats when you had the best chem tree together. And i think what happens over time when youve been married for very long time and the kids come along and all the stresses of life right. Women tend to get out of that receptive mode and go into manning everything. And sometimes they accidentally start doing that with their husbands. And thats a big problem in marriages men dont quite know several ways they respond it to. They might try to get to you not be that way. But shes not hearing and so its difficult for her to switch gears is from that take charge to that relax and let go and be more receptive and kind of experience that same relationship or dynamic you had at the beginning before all the stresses hit. Suzanne, thats whats call the honeymoon period. And then kids come along. Then dog gone it i got to pick somebody up and i dont really have time to be nice and soft and warm when johnny is sitting at the soccer field and you were supposed to get him and now ive got to get him. Thats real life. Its real life. And if its not causing a problem for you and your marriage or relationship, then you dont need the book. Got it. Youre specifically talking about the dynamic that a man feels what . Like theyve been not just the man but just the dynamic of women are plussing their relationships to death if you will because theyve moved from that receptive mode have all this alpha energy and man the average man is an alpha male. Right. Its like you have two masculine energies instead of the original. Do you think women would do that i up or doing whatever they were supposed to be doing . Thats great question. Thats all about the chicken or egg scenario. Who will go first . Right. What im trying to say in this book rather than beat your head against the wall waiting for him to change or trying to get him to change which never works any way focus on yourself and how you react to thing. What are you doing right. If do you that and not worry, dont worry about him youll find this tremendously different reaction from him as a result of your going about things differently. Its truly about taking responsibility for yourself and if youre what part in the relationship you might be making it, upping, accidentally undermining it by forgetting about what initially drew to one another. So in the book what do you talk about . How an alpha woman might then sort of share the responsibilities more or is there a chapter of hes never going to change . I got to do all this myself owe so the time to go. What motivates him. Okay. To get him to do what you want on the one hand although that sounds two manipulative. Thats not exactly what ooh mean. In other words, its more like you collect more whats that phrase flys with honey. Less than with vinegar. If youre hard instead of soft f youre dick couture yall if youre nagging if youre bossy like hes not going to respond to that ever. Its not going to work. So you have to find another way which quite frankly why should it work that way . Nobody wants to be, um. Do you think any woman starts off wanting to nag and control and no, i dont think they start off want to go. I think its a natural by product of life. Like i said, once kids come along and youre doing these other things monday through friday during the day. What im saying is, if youre finding that you have a lot of conflict or if youre banging heads a lot. You dont want to. You dont want to. Which i shall just point out this is very memoir. This im telling my story what work for me. If youre not having the issue, ignore me. Right. But if you are, i know this will work. Ive seen it work. Ive seen it work with other women. Ive had wonderful response from the book its been really exciting. Hearing from both husbands and wives about how this worked so well for them, and just very gratifying.
