TRIBUTES from across Bradford are pouring in for the Duke of Edinburgh, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, who died peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. Philip, 99, was the longest-serving consort in British history and the duke and the Queen were married for more than 70 years. The Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Doreen Lee, on behalf of the district and the council, expressed her sympathy at this time of national mourning. Flags across our district have been lowered as a mark of respect and a book of condolence has been opened on Bradford Council’s website. Further arrangements for marking this sad event are being made in accordance with official protocols and more information will be available soon.
