The Cotter High School softball team wrapped up its regular season on a positive note Tuesday. The Lady Warriors defeated Viola 12-8. Salem’s regular season finale ended with a 10-1 victory over Mammoth Spring. The Lady Bears fall to 17-4 on the season, and their first game in the 1A-3 District Tournament will be Friday at Armorel. Melbourne was able to secure a regional tournament berth after winning its first game in the 2A-2 District Tournament at Tuckerman. The Lady Bearkatz beat up on White County Central 11-4. Melbourne will face Salem in the semifinals on Thursday. Bergman watched its season come to an end in the first game of the 3A-1 District Tournament. The Lady Panthers fell to Green Forest 23-5.
