Two DPS troopers arrested, charged with multiple crimes and last updated 2021-02-23 23:28:14-05 CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â Nueces County Sheriff's deputies arrested two local Texas Department of Public Safety troopers Tuesday. Both officers, 43-year-old Marco Everett and 31-year-old Holly Thomas, were booked into the Nueces County Jail. Both turned themselves in, according to official records. They have since been released on $5,000 bond each. Everett is charged with multiple counts of tampering with government records and official oppression and one count of unlawful restraint. The indictment against Everett states he made fraudulent entries on two separate dates in an official case report during an on-duty altercation, and mistreated two people while acting as a DPS trooper. It also states Everett unlawfully arrested one person, and forcefully restrained another.
