U.S. Army offers up to $25,000 for information in fatal shooting of drill sergeant on New Year’s Day

SAN ANTONIO – The U.S. Army is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person, or persons, responsible for killing Sergeant Jessica Mitchell, who was fatally shot on New Year’s Day in San Antonio.
The Army’s Criminal Investigation Command announced the $25,000 reward on Thursday, asking anyone with information in the “senseless murder” to come forward.
San Antonio police said the car she was driving, a white 2019 Dodge Charger, was shot at by a person in a red vehicle.
