Unemployed Alabamians awaiting funds from new stimulus package; some accounts at zero

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Many Americans have lost their jobs and now depend on unemployment in order to get by.
When Sunny Corbertt recently logged on to her claim status, it showed $0 in her account.
She tells us there was several thousand dollars on Monday.
“I almost had a heart attack;” that’s how one Huntsville woman felt when she checked her unemployment payment status Tuesday morning.
“Without warning of any sort, we got cut off today. And I have other friends that got cut off today. And they don’t know what they’re going to do, how they’re going to feed their children this week,” Corbett said.
