Uptick in Knox County COVID-19 cases causing concern GALESBURG — Knox County's weekly counts of COVID-19 cases continue to be a cause for caution. The Knox County Unified Command announced 32 cases of COVID-19 Friday as having been found between Tuesday and Thursday in the county. That amount of cases over three days is more than half of the number all of the previous week, when 52 new cases were detected in the county. Of the 32 cases, 27 of were under the age of 50. The new cases include two girls under the age of 10, two boys under the age of 10, two girls in their 10s, six women in their 20s, three men in their 20s, three women in their 30s, four men in their 30s, four women in their 40s, one man in his 40s, one woman in her 50s, one man in his 50s, one man in his 60s, a woman in her 70s, and a man in his 70s.
