UWI: Make health part of climate-change policy File photo by Sureash Cholai UWI St Augustine is calling for health to be an intrinsic part of the policies being made in the Caribbean to adapt to the impacts of climate change. The call comes after the international Climate Leaders’ Summit held to celebrate Earth Day, April 22. The summit was hosted by the US, which has just re-entered the Paris Agreement. The Biden administration brought together 40 world leaders, including the prime ministers of Jamaica and Antigua and Barbuda, to generate international momentum on ambitious climate action in the lead-up to November’s UN climate negotiations (COP26).
