Virtual roundtable featuring Native American authors to be held Sunday A virtual roundtable event, which will feature four Native American authors who represent several different tribes across California, will be held this Sunday afternoon on Zoom. Speakers at the event will include Deborah Miranda, Ursula Pike, Cindi Alvitre, and Terria Smith, who is a member of the Torres Martinez Desert Cahuilla Indians and part of The Desert Sun's editorial board. The roundtable will be hosted by College of the Desert and Heyday, a publisher based in Berkeley, which also publishes the quarterly magazine News from Native California, according to a press release. Ruth Nolan, a College of the Desert professor, will be the moderator.
