Walrus Floats on Iceberg Across the Ocean and Lands in Ireland A giant walrus has landed on the rocks in Southeastern Ireland. It’s believed to be only a handful of times that the Atlantic Walrus has been spotted on the Emerald Isle. A man and his five-year-old daughter were walking along the shore when they saw the exhausted mammal on the rocky shore. It’s believed that the walrus is rather young as its tusks are only about a foot long. One marine biologist believes that the walrus could have fallen asleep on an iceberg before being carried across the Atlantic Ocean to Ireland.
